If you’re doing custom weapons, AGM-154A. do it

AGM-154 is already in the Sim.

The AGM-154 C is in game, which is a big old penetration/he warhead.

The AGM-154 A, which uses a warhead package containing 145 BLU-97/B bomblets, is not. In other words it’s CBU-87 with 3/4s the bomblets and the ability to be chucked from over 30 miles distant.

I’ll Look Into it… I’ll have to see the missile data, and I dont think there’s a cluster missile type

I only bring them up because stand off cluster munitions, and the Navy used to love chucking those things at SAM sites like candy. In the long run it’s nbd. I’m still floored by the progress the Rhino is making.

Yeah, I’ll look into it tonight if I get a free time, but I dont think DCS has a Missile w/ a Cluster Warhead, and integrating an entirely new class of weapon is pretty much not possible w/o ED doing it on their end.

I’ll see about scripting a new missile w/ AGM-154 Aerodynamics, Propellant and Seeker Type w/ a CBU-87 Warhead,
But I doubt it goes off like it’s supposed to.

As far as I can tell, it’s not possible, as changing warheads doesnt change anything in regards to payload.

I’ve tried to attach Cluster information to the AGM_154 Data, and as soon as that table is attached it causes problems.

The only place I can find such weapon is in the A-10C’s SADL List, where This is listed, but it is not anywhere else:
Weapons_Types[108] = {“AGM-154”, “J”} – AGM-154 JSOW (BLU-97)

THe BLU/97B cluster type is listed, in the cluster data, but as far as I can tell that table definition can only be used in the WsType for wsType_Bomb_Cluster, I’ll ask around later on to see if there’s a way to link them together, but I doubt it.

So so so pretty… I love what you are doing with the 18!

Took a flight in the 109 tonight.
Practiced take-off, keeping the ball centered while avoiding terrain and landing.

You get such a huge sense of reward after every landing in the 109: “I’m alive!!”

I always enjoyed seeing all the bomb footage of CBUs being dropped on artillery and SAM sites from the first Gulf War. Not sure what was delivering them (maybe A-6s)…but the bomb patterns were always impressive…

Did anyone mention Intruders?

I can’t explain but even before the images loaded up, I knew it, I felt it- through the screen- a great disturbance in the Aardforce. Like a million pounds engines suddently stopped. To be all but forgotten. And replaced. By better airframes. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just because the wings fell off on the early days, surely you don’t need to hold a grudge… loosing wings is a good trade off for supercruise on the deck.

Wings wren’t so much the problem as the TFR deciding that you know what, that hill looks like a fun place to be after all. I’mma plow into it at 450 knots. At least with the american ones.

Bagged up, shame Nevada is so small, didn’t need all of this fuel.

This landing didn’t go very well, heavy, and fast. two things the wheels do not like!

The most simple solution is burning all that fuel by using afterburner.
Use second stage AB, go fast and slow. The MiG hates it, so it drinks that stuff away in no time.
As a general rule I never land the MiG with more than 1200 fuel. Then the gear will be fine most of the time, even if you aren’t very skilled with the MiG, like me.
