No worries. I know how it is, wanting to perfect the art form. No rush on any tweaks you might still want to make.
Man…that refueling shot is sweet!
Ouhyeah! Half of those totally look like proper pictures. The other half I can’t believe aren’t pictures…
testing stuff in 1.5.4.
Today: Humid air
Lined up:
Gear up. At this angle with the zoom it looks like I’m pulling up into a very steep climb. Be assured that my ADI is around 5° up. Wingtip vortices become visible on take off:
Landing approach - a tad on the high side:
Again, the humidity really shows:
Mirage on final approach, AoA around 13°-14°, speed ~150KIAS:
Tad fast for the mirage then
Wondershot shots!
No. I’m on ILS glideslope with the correct AoA. If the speed is too high there is a fault with the flight model. Remember that your approach speed can change depending on weight.
Like this (not from that approach):
Ah yes, you are correct. I have a habbit of coming in a bit slow and high angled. I ride the drag/power edge all the way down to the threshold
Personally, I’d rather be coming in faster rather than slower. Dragging things in is never a recipe for an enjoyable approach. I can always dump in flaps or airbrake.
Gorgeous shots. LIke, amazingly well done!
Many beautiful screenshots here. I only just discovered the free camera, not at your level yet, but I’ll post a picture from tonight’s flight nonetheless:
Egress after a ship strike
And some slightly older ones from Nevada, the day I discovered Ctrl-F11:
@MiG21bisFishbedL dang love the F-86 and Tu95 shots!
@Freak Those have some great perspective to them. That last one looks like a dang real photo!
…and that’s why you don’t let the 2LT lead the orienteering exercises.
For some reason, the Lieutenant ordered helium to fill the inflatable decoy tanks instead of just compressed air…
…and to the whole crew surprise it did work wonderfully for the ambush…
You see, Ivan, if you have high ground, you have advantage.
Such a beautiful plane…
