I can imagine with the Mirage that real pilots would properly shutdown the aircraft and could recall the coordinates from memory if mx hasn’t decided to move the aircraft in between. That should cut down on time significantly.
Really, INS systems sometimes are running a bit behind the times when it comes to alignment.
Nah you don’t memorize em, the In Flight Guide would have them all. However if you have GPS it will automatically align as long as you are pretty close to where the coordinates in the ins are
Time for some dramatic shots! From tonight’s session with @near_blind and @Tankerwade. I dod not get many shots of @Tankerwade due to bad timing - I was always busy at the same time he was
Fox … something … on a MiG-23 with @near_blind rolling in as a dot above the cloud (above my FPM). I get the missile hit on the MiG and some shrapnel into @near_blind
I am getting slightly exicited too. Why can Leatherneck not feed us some delicious Viggen shots ? I can only hope they drop it on us like a bomb when it’s released!
Hey, that’s just not true. I’m quite fond of the Pig. Just not as fond as I am of the Turkey. For example if we were to quantify my affection for each likely DCS aircraft using mean Arbitrary Boner Points (ABP), and organize them by amount, a graph would look something like this.
No MiG-23/25/31, no century series, no F-8, no Jaguar, no FSD Su-27 or MiG-29, incorrect ranking of F-16C and Hind, come on man, you’re better than this.
EDIT: WHOA, F-15C greater than the F-4B/J/N/S? I’m shocked!
If I were to rank every aircraft I actually care about, the x axis would be an indiscernible mass of wing dings. Also the -15C gets it’s rank from the APG-63 alone. Have you ever tried to lock something with an AN/APQ-120? It’s way harder than you think.
EDIT, you’re right. The F-16 is misplaced, it should be after the Hind.
