That image (and others) always makes me think: āCold War Eraā carrier v carrier battle.
Iāll just have to play it inverted.
Rapier and Blowpipe. I used a GPMG on two occasions but then we had to move into a re-entrant that did not offer a field of fire. I saw a Scimitar engaging aircraft with 30mm Rarden.
- Position Blowpipe and other manpads on the approach path of aircraft. Not on hills overlooking the aircrafts target. Not a good weapon against fleeting passing targets.
- Assign arcs carefully.
- Keep socks dry. I failed and could only manage drying them to be damp rather than soaked. Dry feet despite putting damp socks/wet boots back on.

But for a bit more wind over the flight deck, it almost did. I wonder how long the ARA Veinticinco de Mayo would have lasted. My guess is that it would have been a one or two day affair with much loss of life. I imagine that Conqueror was most likely headed her way, but had to evade the Argentine Air Force trying to locate her after the attack on Belgrano.
Sub captains dream
There are two types of sea-going vessels:
Submarines and targets.
The South Atlantic map is going to be a day-one purchase, just for the potential it offers in naval warfare. Canāt wait!
It would have been SSN v carrier. That very nearly happened but it did a 180 and then never left port.
Well I think Iām officially hyped for the South Atlantic map now. Funny since when it was announced I wasnāt that thrilled about it. Outside of the Falklands conflict scenarios I didnāt see much use for it.
Now that Iāve seen how gorgeous the map looks I can see myself just flying around a lot and enjoying the scenery. Canāt wait!
The mountainous parts could be used as Norway or Sweden v CCCP
