Hi @everyone,
Now here is a message you did not expect to see today. We wanted to introduce ourselves as Mythwright the new publisher for Deadstick and give the community the heads-up of some things that will be happening over the next week.
Firstly, Deadstick is very much alive
We will have more information on that on Monday 16th September, with a video created for you, the dedicated community, we wanted to make sure we updated you first.
Secondly, we are going to be doing some house cleaning on the Discord. As a publisher our goal is to make sure the server is a positive and friendly community for all. So you’ll see us turning on some moderation features over the next week, and also starting some of the channels from scratch. We will have fresh server rules added in the next few minutes, we highly recommend people read these and the Discord Terms of Service.
Thirdly, we will be looking to expand the mod team here on the Deadstick channel in the coming months, so keep an eye out for when we put out a callout, we’d appreciate some community helpers from around the globe.
Thanks so much for sticking around and remaining here in the Discord, we appreciate your patience while we work through things and start bringing you back into the world of Deadstick.

Yeah, that’s basically how I saw this sim turning out… I mean, I get that they took a time-out when MSFS2020 was released. Why on earth do a completely new sim when they could’ve made it into a good addon instead…?

It’s good to see some progress. I am still slightly concerned they might be continuing to add features rather than finishing the game, but I’ll eat those words if they release a fun, fully featured game in the next years or so

At this late date, I’m a bit dubious.
What can they bring to the table now, that MSFS can’t do just as well or better?

Specially when their initial plan, idk if they already changed plans, the map is not a real one.
IMHO this simulator missed the run, now its too much late. To give a some kind of possible win to change my appeal to it, i think it could have a very good walking tasks, progression , maintenance and a real map.

I was just informed it’s possible to request access to a playable build via Steam.. let’s see if some of us make it in. It’s honestly amazing that they pulled it off after so many years
