Lol I was legit curious, couldn’t visualize it but I’ve never messed with the Quest in person. Strongly considering getting one now, but torn between that and waiting for the 3 to come out.
Ditto but on a reverb g2 using black electrical tape. No dangling cable problems
Alright, raising my thread from the dead, I finally pulled the trigger on a Quest 2. It should be here tomorrow. Got it and a 3rd party cable. Anything major I should be aware of on initial setup? Any major issues to be aware of with MSFS or DCS? I know there is going to need to be some tweaking, but if I can at least get it running to try it out I can work from there.
Wait, did you actually mean a Quest 2, or were you trying to say Quest 3?
Nope the 2. I’m not sold on VR, so I figured the price for the 2 was low enough to take it for a test drive. If I don’t like it, oh well. If VR is amazing and a must have for me, then I need to do some upgrading on the PC first anyway to maximize things. Getting a new headset will be in that upgrade package at that point.
First thing to do:
Put yourself into some bubble-canopy job at, oh, about 20,000 feet, clouds set to broken, time of day near dawn/dusk (about an hour after/before). Get up to speed then crank the stick over until inverted and pull down, straight at the ground - diving through a hole in the clouds is optional
Lather, rinse, repeat as necessary.
Have fun
VTOL VR…. Just saying.
Actually the new MSFS Ornithopter cliff diving mission would probably be a pretty good one. Even in pancake the sense of speed is superb.
On my very short list for sure. Honestly that is about 50% of the reason I finally decided to try out VR.
what FPS are you getting on pancake in MSFS?
because I would rather try what @jross described in DCS (MT). I would guess that MSFS cant give comparable performance.
Yep. To me…VTOL VR is the perfect VR game. It isn’t about the graphics…it is about the natural movement in the cockpit…and the surprisingly complex systems…and just…fun…fun…fun.
