Yeah, sorry but this won’t be possible for me - very frustrating, but the open beta just doesn’t like me for some reason. It’s fine offline but as soon as I try online it’s a complete mess. Stable is fine both on and offline.
Oh well. Thanks for the offer, sorry I have to go AWOL.
No worries guys. It sounds like the will is there, but finding a time and aircraft that works for everyone is challenging. Sabre vs MiG anyone ?
Does someone in the UK or Europe, or Australia/NZ for that matter, mind jumping in the DCS server list and reporting the ping for CIPWICH - KCHS?
In testing the current mission, I’m finding that the F-15E completely outclasses most other aircraft as a supersonic bomb truck. If I load up a Hornet with bombs and enough fuel to fly the strike, I have to fly the same legs at 50 or more knots slower. And the F-5, forgettaboutit!
I’m mission surfing right now to see it something jumps out at me.
Wonder how the Mirage F1 stacks up if you load it with just one or two big bombs. It can be pretty fast when not too draggy, and is a lot more fuel efficient than the Hornet. I’d take 2x Mk.83/SAMP-400 + 1 belly tank or 1x GBU-24 + 2 wing tanks, depending on range.
I’ve done over 700 nautical miles at low level in the Mudhen, there’s no way any other fighter in DCS can compete with that. I refuelled at the tanker (full 30500lbs), then ~50NM to the IP at 25000ft, descended to 200ft AGL then stayed below 250ft AGL for over 700 miles, 450 of which were with 12xBLU-107 on the CFTs. When I pulled up to the tanker after over 800NM I still had almost 2000lbs on board.
Yeah, I’ve been flying only the Mudhen since it was released, but took a Hornet last night for testing. It basically feels like a Strike Eagle on one engine LOL.
Wow, just did a quick tour and the mudhen is just a pleasure to fly…
Sadly I had to leave the server as I realized that literally everythign in the cockpit still has to be assigned. I was sure I did my due diligence regarding HOTAS setup but only the axis were good. Flaps, Airbrakes and everything else (including the MFDs) is completely missing.
Darn, well- back to study!
