According to INARA Void Opals are selling for as high as 1,689,912 Cr currently.
Done. I’ve also set up some buy orders for other minerals too. I’ve generally set the prices at 2/3 max market value, though for VO’s and LTD’s I’ve just set max possible.
Ooer … the LTD best sell price in the bubble has just dropped 33% - obviously there are a fair few players mining LTDs and then descending on unsuspecting systems in the bubble with their fleet carriers and crashing the markets there. Kinda like what we’re doing I suppose
If you want to jump out and cash in on what you have, I’m on board already.
I think I only got about 110 tons of diamonds, and like 17 tons of void opals. Not bad for two quick runs though.
No, I think I’ll stay put unless you particularly want to cash in now. The markets tick over every day but the big changes to system states happen on a Thursday, so I reckon it is worth waiting till then at least to see what happens. Besides, I haven’t had a chance to blow up any rocks yet
Nice work!
Whatever you need to do I’m good with, just give me some warning before leaving! Quite a haul back to Sol. I took the Anaconda out for some exploring, checked out a couple moons in the LTD system. Took me a while to remember the rover controls, but I scooped up some materials. Heres a shot from mining in the Python yesterday, the bubble looks pretty cool off in the distance.
Nice!
I’m about even with Colonia, but further out in that arm, maybe another 18kLY to go til I’m back in the bubble. Figure I can be back by the end of July. Daddy needs a Cutter. And a kit for his Clipper.
I finally had some free time this morning so I decided to spend some of it mining. I jumped into target system with no sign of anyone else, and in particular no gankers. I was actually slightly disappointed in a way. I am under no illusions that I could survive for long in Clementine - she is a mining ship after all - but I had spent some time last week engineering her up a bit and was kind of looking forward to seeing if I could at least hold my own for a while and make a fight of it. I also brought my combat Challenger along this time for the purposes of payback, but it wasn’t needed.
I dropped into the ring close to the centre of the triple overlap region, and quickly discovered that this is a very good mining site. The density of asteroids with deposits is much higher than there were in Borann. After about 20 minutes I found two adjacent pairs of asteroids each with 4 SSDs per rock - that’s 16 sub surface LTD deposits mined within a 10 minute stretch! I ran out of SSD ammo about an hour and a half in, and finished up with laser mining alone. Here are some highlights:
Not bad for about 3 hours of play:
very nice haul
That should net you, what, .5 billion credits? Impressive. I need to get subsurface missles installed on the python. I passed up quite a few opportunities by not having those. Also a fun little mini game.
Probably a bit less as I don’t have the patience to ferry it over to a market to sell in small quantities, so I will take a bit of a hit for selling in bulk. That was by far the most efficient mining session I’ve ever had. I reckon I’ll probably be coming back here again at some point.
EDIT: I’ve sorted out the webhook on the Discord server (actually I just asked for help and someone else sorted it for me ) so now it should automatically get a message whenever we jump.
@Gunnyhighway do you want us to hop back to the bubble so you can get kitted out? I’m not going to get a chance to play much for a couple of days (work) so I can take us there tonight and bring us back on Wednesday night or something?
Ok, it looks like one of the things that was changed with the patch that dropped today is the upper and lower limits on fleet carrier commodity prices. I’ll log on this evening and adjust the LTD price to something more reasonable.
If you can jump it back that would be awesome. Then I’ll be able to maximize my mining.
Ok. Jumping in 30 minutes
EDIT: Will jump back out to SWOILZ on Thursday around 22:00 UTC for some more LTD goodness. I may pop out of system to sell tomorrow or Thursday but will jump back to Lave before leaving for SWOILZ.
cool thanks man!
So I love playing ED in VR as the visuals are nothing short of breathtaking, but I do find the game lacking overall in “purpose” so I play for a while and then I stop again. Can any of you guys tell me if these big old carrier ships would even be shown to me in solo play? (Considering I’m not even close to having enough money to purchase one myself.)
they are there in solo or mp play, you can dock at any that the owners have set to public
