Hey don’t worry about being a rookie. ED has a steep learning curve and it’s not like I’m the worlds best pilot
Sell them at the refinery construction site. I will start some more this afternoon and maybe jump the carrier to somewhere with commodities to load up.
Ok, I will fiddle with the carrier settings when I get home later. I’m not sure why it’s doing that.
EDIT: There are some reports of this happening before and it seems in those instances quitting to desktop and restarting solved the issue. It could be something to do with overloaded servers? ED is very busy at the moment.
I have just got home and I have a couple of bits of work to do. But I will try to get on and place a couple more construction sites around the system. I’ll also look at jumping Fei Lo back into the bubble so we can go and collect commodities. But I’ll give a bit of warning before that happens.
I’ve started a few construction zones for orbital installations around a few of the moons nearest Roanoke Outpost as well as a small surface settlement down in a spectacular crater. Once these are built they should give us enough construction points to start on some larger infrastructure with large landing pads. I will sort out a buy-order on the Fei Lo and jump it into the bubble this evening - sorry, no time to do any more now
I wasn’t expecting us to finish the first outpost so fast.
This should make for an interesting experience- looks like I’m about to potentially do a bit of exploring in a half-full Cutter. Thank Jamison I kept my fuel scoop on it.
The good news overall is that only the first ever settlement must be built on a time limit- any subsequent one can be done without issues…
Which brings me to the question to @HavlokUK - would you accept to be bothered to (eventually) help me colonize my system? I would try to load up your carrier as much as possible- I don’t want to force anyone to do something they don’t want.
As I said I have literally no idea on when I’ll do it or even which system… but just gauging the interest.
It hopefully shouldn’t be too bad - the chances are you’re in the bubble somewhere. I’ll be jumping the Fei Lo into the bubble this evening, probably around 10-11pm UTC so you can always meet her there. Last time I went to Kano but this time I think I’ll try to drop her right in the middle around Lave or Leesti. That way, whichever direction you are in you shouldn’t have too long a trip. Also, being nice and central maybe sourcing commodities will be easier?
Of course! That’s what she’s for - helping with the big tasks. I think let’s try to get as far as a T2 orbital station (asteroid or Coriolis) at Gamma Muscae so that we have a shipyard with large pads, then after that we can develop at whatever pace we like whilst helping each other to colonise.
