As someone who doesn’t have the ability to dive into VR currently I really do wish I could get a sense of scale like people talk about in VR.
“…to learn what it is like in the quiet episodes of Star Trek, between Riker talking about his dick.”
To give you an example that might not be obvious, House of the Dying Sun shows you a battle scene in the background of the menus. It might not be intentional, but everything is in miniature. Then when you get into game and pilot your starfighter close to some of these objects and get to experience them full scale they seem enormous, and the experience is quite shocking actually.
In 2D the menu animations would just seem to be zoomed out views of the normal things you encounter in game.
Sorry for the derail…
No worries …I’m actually working towards a “Derail” Mudspike Badge.
We’re working on a ‘Rail’ badge, as it would be easier and more unusual to award for anyone that stayed on a topic.
It would need to be revocable with extreme prejudice though.

Kids, Kids, come on. This is the thread about gender issues in Cyberpunk 2077, isn’t it?
Wait, there’s actual outrage about that?
Dude, of course there is.
If a tree falls in the forest and noone is there to hear, does someone throw a hissy fit on social media? Yes they do.
Man, if we get Space Legs and this becomes a question, oh the humanity!
Oh the post-humanity! ftfy
Did somebody say legs?
And we’re off again CHOO CHOO!
Nobody loves the Clipper.
Might need to start mining again
Heck, I’m still on the other side of the galaxy. Hoping for a cool billion in exploration data when I’m back. Hoping.
@Navynuke99 Me too. I only just got out of the abyss yesterday. At this rate I’ll just about hit Colonia by Christmas
