For those participating in the Alpha phase 4 info is out. Basically the Alpha server is coming down Monday the 26th and coming back up Wednesday the 28th with phase 4. Only one ship will be coming to phase 4 with your snap shot Cmdr. So what ever ship you are piloting FRIDAY the 23rd at 0800 UTC is the ship you get to use in Phase 4. Im going to assume this cuts down on server data transfer.

Well tomorrow marks the release of Odyssey, what are people thinking? I’m a little on the fence about it, I didn’t play the alpha. What I saw looked interesting and I would love to finally get a real sense of scale when it comes to stations and ships, but $40 bucks just to get a new perspective feels kinda rough lol
just ran into this, apparently Odyssey players are going to be pretty much in their own instance starting tomorrow.
I played the Alpha and it was just but a fraction of what I’ll receive tomorrow.
My idea is, wait- there’s no reason to rush to this. There’s literally no reason to buy it if you’re on the fence.
Don’t get me wrong, I love it and I can’t wait to download it tomorrow but I have the Original Kickstarter Lifetime Expansion Pass so for me it’s a no issue: it’s already all paid.
If you think you’d like to watch me play I can stream it- I don’t have a webcam so you don’t even risk to throw up! 
Even more realistically there’s probably a million better streamer that could show the game off, but I can promise you that, since you would be my only viewer, I could do all you ask.

I pre-purchased it a while back. I’ve very much enjoyed “Elite Dangerous” so this was just another down payment for future play. I’m sure the developers will work these things out. I mean look, most of us are DCS World fans and players and look at the patience we’ve had with that software.

Streaming Elite Dangerous
EDIT: Ok so, I finally managed to try some quick game just to make sure technically all was ok (some DooM mods) plus a couple of short hops in Elite Dangerous. All should be ok for tomorrow stream of Odyssey.
Just- for what it’s worth - I’m so sorry about my voice, I’m also a crappy talker in general so … sorry.
Tomorrow, if all goes well I will download Odyssey ASAP and then start the stream.
I will announce here the start.
Prepare a list of questions of stuff you want to know/want to see and I promise I’ll do my very best to answer all of you.
Anxiety might get to me a bit- I’m always super scared of talking in front of people… ANd super conscious about my voice.
So I will apologise a couple thousands times more.
