Nice pics @Crowley - how’s the handling? Does it change the game much, as I imagine parking those big rigs is quite an ordeal/fun?

Thanks @fearlessfrog. The truck handles the same in my opinion, but you have to get that additional axle. They have a new chart that shows your trucks strengths & weaknesses & what jobs it can handle. These heavy trailers are really neat as they have ‘auto-steer’ wheels, as you can see from the last picture, so it makes it almost too easy, but these loads weigh ~55 tons, so you need power. It is somewhat tricky in small areas, round-abouts.

WOWZA. Nice pics AND nice looking game! I played ETS2 before, but this looks like they improved the GFX!

It’s weird since you don’t drive from the back axle anymore but from a imaginary point in the middle, it feels a lot like driving a boat. I really like the trucks though, looks neat!
@komemiute oh yeah, the GFX has been going uphill since Going East, then Scandinavia(Going North) already had a ton of extra detail and a overhauled environmental system, and Vive La France added a gorgeous looking France!

My father is addicted to ETS2, for him it’s a quiet moment in the evening to just enjoy trucking around a bit, he’s got over 800 in-game hours now since I introduced him to it 2 years ago! And after showing it to one of my uncles he’s now really into it as well!

I didnt like the look of the cab of the R730 8X4 which sucks because I loved that truck so I upgraded to the Volvo FH 8X4

Couple heavy loads with the new Volvo. That crane was 55t and I could feel the difference. Truck struggled up hill.

They did a really good job making the weight distribution noticeable in those games. I found the grind of just constantly delivering stuff kinda boring after a while, but it’s a great relaxation game.

Look what I found. Have you guys seen this guy’s post on Reddit that post went viral on Battlestations? He decided to install a gaming PC in his vehicle instead of upgrading the truck parts.

Been awhile but there is some big Truck sim news,
First ATS is getting another state soon, Oregon!!!
Second ETS is getting a new region too, Beyond the Baltic!!
And third, Both ATS and ETS have Trailer ownership added!!! You can download the public BETA 1.32 to test it out. Its pretty cool and adds a new element to the game.
Also some other rumors, ATS will be getting Western Star Trucks sometime and I do believe ETS will be getting upgraded MAN trucks. Also I read somewhere that ATS will have 2 states released next year.
