Forza Motorsport (2023)

The lighting/rendering is weird in Forza. I can’t figure out what they are trying to do. Like the overview shot of the entire field before a race. The FPS is jerky and feels sluggish, but looks identical to the visuals in-game. Even during the pre-race countdown, sometimes I can see the lighting change exactly when the countdown ends. Occasionally, it’s a drastic change.

If the game somehow was looking amazing during the pre-race overview and during the countdown, better than the actual gameplay, and they switched it out to something lower quality for play, I could see the point (I’d think that was terrible, but at least the reason would be there). But it’s not the case at all.

And it’s not like there is some performance limit causing the weirdness. Because I can load up a replay, and pan across the entire field of cars, and it’s butter smooth and sharp. No jerky FPS, no visual lighting changes. :man_shrugging:

It sounds like the start of a joke… but anyway… How can you tell the AI drivers from Multiplayer gamers on the 1st lap of a Forza Motorsport race? The AI brakes for no reason, the multiplayers don’t brake at all. lol (But the following laps are usually great and respectful.)

Cool… I did not know you can watch your rival replays. Nice feature.

I believe you can pull up telemetry as well. So you can see braking and throttle inputs.

Funny part is, FM1 had these features, lol.

That being said, I’m tweaking FM to run on 3 Screens since VR doesnt work.

So… although still more issues than we’d prefer with this title overall, T10 FINALLY delivers on a track that so many have been looking to come back since it last appeared 14 years ago in FM4… FUJIMI KAIDO!!

Even if the dust has piled upon your FM install (or it’s been deleted) fire it back up to experience this track. It’s AMAZEBALLS!!
