If you buy all the expansions it gets pricey but for the base game (already an amazing amount of content!) is just the aforementioned one dollar.
Needless to say I already got that and despite not having even finished the Italian Campaign I started for the third I already envision a new Italian campaign for the fourth!
Also it’s Multi player so- it could be fun!

I gave the tutorial a shot yesterday. The script expected me to subdue Eritrea with Ita;y. The Eritreans refused to give in lol.

Had the same problem with HOI3, as you can still read I think…
Brazil is a very good nation to get to grips with HOI4. Pax Americana means you don’t have to worry about being swallowed by some superpower. You can practice by conquering the South-American nations with relative ease (just don’t mess with Argentina until you’re ready for a challenge…). The combination that I have found to be working best is infantry coupled with good artillery and medium sized aircraft support, opting for either the AirLand Battle doctrine or the shock and awe doctrine. The reasons are that the terrain puts a heavy toll on tanks and other heavy vehicles, earlier small aircraft just don’t have the range to deal with the distances involved in South-America and strategic bombing likely won’t have a significant impact considering most wars will last only a few months (Medium bombers can still do CAS). You also get to conquer Chille, for which you can opt to get into a vertical meatgrinder, but you can also get to grips with naval invasion system, plan yourself one of those and take their land with (likely) much fewer losses.

Train sim world 2 is free over on Epic at the moment… Now if they did a Train Station Sim … with angry customers… i could seamlessly transiition from work to PC time at home…

Me frantically hitting an open door button and swearing in front of my children while the train slowly accelerates away could quite easily be reconstructed in half life 2 vr. I’ll play that, you do train sim and we will meet on discord to make it a throughly unpleasant but realistic experience for everyone.
