Wait, they remastered DOTT??? WOW!
I still have the original game here, I play it on my Android phone (using Scumm)
I remember when I played it for the first time. Dammit that was a hard game for me. And no Internet to help solve it. But it was great. I still remember every Puzzle and most of the dialogues I think.
Also it took ages to install, it was on seven floppy discs.
@Aginor- you wouldn’t believe how insanely cool it is now with HD graphics- also hold your horse 'cause the same remaster is going to come in 2017 for… roll the drums FULL THROTTLE!
Uh…man…Golf Club VR would be so, so, so, cool. Dangit…you guys are really getting under my skin now. I mean, I bought a 1080…isn’t that good enough? When does it stop? When??? You guys are like pushers…sheesh…
Whats the difference between Alabeo and Carenado?
Their stables looks quite simillar. Have experience only with Carenado.
Alabeo DA42-40(%) looks good though!
I really don’t think so right now. The Rift is most definitely the best choice for someone who is mainly focused on sims. Everything I have read up to now suggests that the experience in DCS is superior with the Rift. ATW being the prime reason for that, but the headset is also lighter, more comfortable and has (very good) onboard sound. Current motion controllers are of little use in a sim.
I take umbridge with that. The experience with the Rift in DCS is arguably better because ED has focused on the rift exclusively. All of their VR updates to date have been aimed at the rift, and whatever works for the Vive is a nice bonus (Specifically the in game super sampling and VR zoom functions).
The Vive is not significantly heavier. I couldn’t tell you about the sound because earbuds are stupid, I invested in nice 7.1 headphones for a reason.
Probably- I for one wouldn’t buy either off.
I’d wait for version 2.0- but among the many reason I’d have to pick the VIVE is the native integration in Steam, the motion controller for their future implementation (as it is now is marginally better than a novelty) but mostly for the vast native software available (games available for free) and a better visual response- from people I trust, I didn’t have the luck to try either.
So it basically ( for me ) boils down to personal opinions. As in SNES vs SEGA Genesis, no objective superiority.
Peace.
I’m pretty sure that when the time comes, I’ll be upgrading to Gen 2 as well. That is some time away though. In the meantime, Gen 1 provides an amazing, game changing experience. It also has to be remembered that when Gen 2 hits the streets, Gen 3 will seem to be just around the corner. There is never a good time to buy this kind of thing.
BTW, you can use the Rift very easily with SteamVR.
