I’ve been playing Isonzo (WWI MP tac shooter), since the free weekend 2 weeks back. I won’t pretend it’s as good value as Dirt Rally 2 at the same €10.
However, I find that the mix of crouching, sneaking and storming through mud, snow, mountains and shot up houses is really fun!
Having never played Verdun, the team aspect and the grimness of the bleed mechanics and the 5-bullet , “one shot, one kill” rifles everywhere are great fun in a relaxing way, that I look forward to even when I don’t have the energy to pull out the HOTAS and VR.
I’m kinda stoked for that announcement. The game has me oscillating between hating it and really digging it. I hate it when the game decides to dump in its drawers and do something idiotic. I love it when it clicks and works.
So, presumably, with what’s planned with 1.0? It’ll be great.
Fairly realistic sailing simulation, being a tramp trader in a fictional sea. It’s a one man studio, and they’re doing a great job. Very low key most of the time, as the time is compressed, but there’s no acceleration option. It is very chill to spend an hour or two watching the waves as you sail between islands. Being caught in a storm is the opposite though. If you enjoy sailing, it’s a definite change of pace from most of the other titles.
You want to go fast instead, how about 50 knots plus? Also an EA title, MP only right now. You can solo practice though. It’d be fun to get together some MS’s and crash some hyrdofoils I think. A very different sailing experience. With full assists on it’s pretty accessible. I’m getting my money’s worth, but if you’re on the fence about boat racing games, might wait till it’s on sale.
Bomber Crew meets PT boats in the PTO. There’s a demo, give it a try. Definitely not realistic (they parachute in supplies for you to pickup). But it’s a fun diversion.
Do they still not let you use your sights on your pistol when running the shield? One of my biggest pet peeves with shields in FPS’s how do they think we aim in the real world?
The first time you get it up on the foils and realize you’re doing 20 knots and the indicator is climbing like an F-104 in burner, it’s pretty cool. My dad raced catamaran’s years before I was born when he was stationed down in the Caribbean. Always sounded like a blast when he talks about it, but not much place to do that in central Texas.
Just hopped onto MP here before I head in to work, showing about 150-250ms ping on the servers. Everything ran great on my end, had someone jump on and we ran a quick race, looked like they had a disconnect 3/4s of the way through, but no crazy lagging or teleporting on my end. They simply, stopped turning mid tack and coasted to a stop.
