Games we are playing

I tried playing Death Stranding but the very mechanics of the walking and keeping your balance totally turned me off. Looked great, interesting world, all the voice actors were amazing…but the thing fell flat.
Glad it was free on Epic!

If we have any Total War fans here, I highly recommend Pharoah: Dynasties. Creative Assembly more than rectified the botched release which was TW: Pharoah. This new version has very distinctive factions and the map covers all of the Middle East plus the Eastern Mediterranean.

I played most stopped after Rome 2. Got WarHammer TW 1 and 2.

I played a lot of them with DarthMod, but I like it vanilla too!

Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game came out on Gamepass today.

I just started up and was attempting to do the tutorial and this happened.

Looks like my offroading skills are just as good as my flying ability.

They’ve got a new one in development that’s about building bridges, paving roads, etc that I am quite excited for.

After a 5 month hiatus I reinstalled “Starfield” over the weekend and put a couple of hours into it. I’m liking the new bounty hunter missions that were added but I haven’t tried the new rover yet.

These are genuinely really cool.

Alright spent about an hour in Into the Radius this past weekend. Just completed the tutorial, mucked around your initial base, and checked out the shooting range. Overall I like it so far, I was playing wireless and forgot to switch my laptop to “gaming” which lets the fans run full throttle (If they were exhaust versus intake fans I swear it would hover). Had a few micro stutters but nothing too crazy, so it should be butter smooth when I’m not thermally throttled. Should have more time this weekend to get into it.

Awesome, enjoy the ride. There were many times where I had to stop and turn it off after losing a firefight, or being chased by sliders/spawns, because I couldn’t handle being stressed out any more.

Do consider looking up some of the weapons cache locations. There’s quite a few good guns there for the taking, although it might be a bit before you can afford ammo and mags to keep them fed. I turned up the # of enemies, lowered the anomalies and shop costs, and bumped up the mission rewards to make the game suit my playstyle a bit more.

I’m enjoying Outlaws, so far. About 20 hours in. I’m still on the first planet. Can’t comment on other planets, but the first one has a decently large map to explore.

I’ve read some about how some feel the stealth is problematic. But it’s much more fun than I anticipated. Reminds me a bit of Metal Gear, years ago. Sneak here, hide there, selectively doing a silent stealth kill on a guard here and there. Disable alarm panels, in case things get “loud”. Crawl in air ducts.

Out in the wilds, I can go after pirates with the blaster and grenades. As long as I’m not seen, no one cares.

The game is certainly driven by it’s story, which has Kay Vess constantly making deals that lead to trouble. But constant scrapes are what keep the gameplay going.

The sense of ‘Star Wars’ is pretty good, and hopefully even stronger once I reach places like Tatooine.

Thanks for that review adlabs. I’ve been on the fence with this game but I may eventually get it when it’s on sale.

I’ve been playing Battlefield 2042 as I’ve been craving a shooter
And I may regret sharing this with you mudders given the high caliber warriors we have here at the Mud, but I play with AI only. lol
Lot of fun partially due to the fact I kick arse, top of the leader board. Always lol
Weapon upgrades are fun and quickly earned

I’ve played around 380 hours of BF 2042. I started playing around 8 months after initial release. It was a @$&-show at release and I passed on that. I got it for $15 from an Amazon clearance sale. I’d say I got my money’s worth.

It’s reasonably fun, sometimes frustrating. I play in the AI modes when I want to level my guns. I played BF2042 for like 6-8 months before I found out that you can level your guns much quicker against AI. It was going SOOO slow vs. humans.

BF2042 AI-only is fun. I agree! I actually also enjoy occasionally jumping online when the servers aren’t too player-heavy… you’ve got the fun of cutting through the chaff but also the challenge of having one or two actual players on the other team.

The thing I’m missing is a Player-Vs-AI mode like in Insurgency… that’d be cool!

Did you guys try the Delta Force game that recently had an alpha play test. I found it fun, sort of between battlefield and cod. It’s interesting that it’s free to play. I didn’t really play a huge amount as it was just an alpha and stats/progress would get wiped. I’ll definitely play when it’s released.

Can you play any of the other BF games AI only? Because i would play the absolute arse of them if you could.

I was there. When bad company 1 shut down. I was there when bad company 2 shut down. I was there when 1943 shut down.

My boy burst into tears when he couldn’t play BC2 anymore

Few things are impossible with software. Worth a shot?

In BF1 and moreso in BF5, there are some single player missions, in lieu of a campaign, but not a proper multiplayer experience with AI, like in BF2042.

I might grudgingly need to buy that
