Back in the late 80’s my friend had to have a BB surgically removed from his tongue. It was just a local anesthetic, so wasn’t too bad. When the doc was finished with the extraction, he says, “You should send the bill to the Father of the boy who shot you!”
My buddy refrained from saying, “That would be you.”
That’s awesome! I started wearing ski goggles when I got shot in the temple by a high school kid (I was in middle school) from about 20 feet away as I sneaked around the side of a garage. He was hiding in the bushes. I saw stars. Those older boys were mean and crafty.
Yeah, like the time when my oldest brother and his friend tied me, at a very small 5 years old, to his friend’s dog. I barley remember, but the rope was maybe 6 feet long? Anyway, the dog saw something that it needed to chase I was dragged across the yard screaming and flailing then through a split rail fence where a protruding knot dug a furrow down my back. Ah, yeah; good times, good times. ![]()
Or how about the time my other older brother ran me over with his XR75?
“Tell mom you ran into a tree.”
me: “o.k.”
mom: "what happened to your head?" me: "I ran into a tree." mom: .or the time… Nevermind.
Being the youngest of six was tough sometimes. But it had it’s perks too.
I love them all dearly and wouldn’t trade those memories for anything.
Sorry, I think I took this thread somewhere it wasn’t meant to go.
Carry on dude that XR75 bit cracked me up
Get down before I put you down!!!
Playing four games these days:
- DCS
- Dirt Rally 2.0
- Total War Warhammer 2, campaign as Vampire Counts
- Trine 3 (not as good as 1 and 2, but better than its reputation suggests)
I am seriously considering re-installing Starcraft 2 and trying out that Starcraft 1 remake mod for it, called “Mass Recall”.
I’m in deep, playing a Wood Elves campaign currently. I’m gonna give SFO II a shot via the Empire next. I’m looking forward to comparing the difference between SFO and vanilla (modded) campaign gameplay.
So far I played
- Argwylon (modded, making outposts a bit stronger and removing amber cost while increasing gold cost of units)
- High Elves (Tyrion’s dudes)
- Kroq-Gar’s vortex campaign
- Tiktaq-to
- Vampire Counts
Next one might be with the Beastmen DLC or as Skaven.
And in all campaigns I used the mod that lets you recruit defeated legendary lords.
Yes, it probably makes the game a bit easier, but I’ll be honest and say: I need it. I am not particularly good at that game. ![]()
I just picked up WH2 on sale, so I’ve been playing WH exclusively up to this point. The Wood Elves Grand Campaign has been my favorite so far, but the Vampire Counts was good fun. I play with a few mods, but I keep it pretty clean, and I try not to get too crazy with mods that change up the gameplay too much. Now, with WH2, I’m gonna start an SFO II campaign as the Empire, if just to compare an overhaul to the vanilla game.
I saw “The Room” is out for VR. I played t as an iPad game and it was awesome.
…and then I found $20! ![]()

SODA Off Road, baby. I just dropped it in the tray and it works!
Wow!! I haven’t seen that for years!
I played both The Room 1 and 2 (bought 3 in a Steam sale but haven’t played yet) and I really like those games. A bit short, but nice.
The Room VR is on my watch list. ![]()
I remember it had really well done physics engine for the time.
I uninstalled DCS, maybe for good.
Isle of Mann TT
Dirt Rally
Plague Tale
Whys that @Bloodreina? Anything we can help with?
What’s the TT game play like? Very tempted by that one
