Hard to reproduce errors in new hardware are the worst! Hope you can get some proper customer support so this is fixed without much more effort from your part.
I’m pretty certain that it’s the RAM, because it has become much better after going down do 3Ghz (it’s spec is 3.2). Vendor hasn’t contacted me back yet but I hope these will be RMA’d.
Back to Internet woes it seems. Spectrum crapped out about an hour ago. Lost cable and internet services.
Tried unplugging everything for thirty minutes but that did not fix the problem.
Wheels
Spectrum are weird. Ours went out the other night and I was not home…so I’m trying to troubleshoot problems from my work on my wife’s behalf, and go through all the normal steps (rebooting routers, checking LAN connections…etc…) all to no avail. Then it just magically starts working two hours later.
Yep, exactly the same.
Wheels
Triple digits today (106 F) and the power goes out in the entire neighborhood. Still trying to find out from Southern California Edison (SCE) if it was an equipment failure or an unscheduled rolling outage.
Wheels
WOOHOO, my luck is still GOLDEN !!!
Air Conditioner is on the fritz again during a heat wave…
Wheels
Keep cool!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND it is the compressor that went bad…
Definitely going to be no AC in this house for the foreseeable future. On the plus side I will be going on more road trips.
Wheels
You need a front porch, a fan, a rocking chair and one or more mint juleps.
I heard that’s what people in the southern part of the US do during heat waves.
A banjo and a bloodhound too!
And a straw hat!
Dammit forgot about that!
Also an harmonica? and a blue jeans overall? XD
@wheelsup_cavu … I feel your pain … we have just been 6 days with no internet (Damn BT… brits will know what i am taliking about) … just got back online this afternoon having just had 5 days off work and going back in tomorrow, phone data was just starting to get rationed as down to megabyte levels
Been without Air Conditioning since September and just about the only place that would be an issue is Southern California. Been in the low 90’s the last couple of days and the forecast for the next few days is not much better.
AC unit is not going in before January. The old unit needs to be removed and I have to pour a larger concrete pad for the new unit.
Wheels
Still no AC unit but the pad is poured and the new AC unit has been bought. The new unit should be in sometime in early January.
Both printers decided to go out at the same time. One, an HP Design Jet 120, we use mainly for size D architectural drawings and the other one, an HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g Model: CM750A, for everything else. Seems like both print heads decided to go belly up on the same day.
Was looking at the reviews on Amazon for printers of similar capabilities to replace the 8600 and all of the companies are getting terrible reviews for their products for the last year.
Posted about the printers in the Mudspike excrement happens thread too:

Spectrum is acting up again. Had a service tech out yesterday and the problem is still ongoing.
Summary
2-7-2022 – 10 am - Spectrum service call
Service tech tested all lines and then replaced the modem and unplugged Wi-Fi router to reset. This allowed the Wi-Fi signal to be found by my computers and Amazon fire stick. It could not be found by my three phones, all Nokia C2 Tava, or my HP DesignJet T-120 printer. The Wi-Fi router was not replaced. Service call was deemed finished and the technician left.
2-7-2022 – 2 pm – Internet signal was lost and was reset automatically
2-7-2022 – 7:51 pm – Internet signal was lost and was reset automatically
2-7-2022 – 9:44 pm – Internet signal was lost and was reset automatically
2-8-2022 – 7 am - Modem was functioning but the Wi-Fi router was showing a solid red light.
I unplugged the Wi-Fi router for 5 minutes so it would reset. The phones and the printer found the Wi-Fi signal after I plugged it back in and it reset.
2-8-2022 – 7:44 am – Once again the phones and the HP printer are unable to find the Wi-Fi signal. The signal is being found by the computers and the Amazon fire stick.
2-8-2022 – 1:37 pm - Modem was functioning but the Wi-Fi router was showing a solid red light.
I unplugged the Wi-Fi router for 10 minutes so it would reset. The phones and the printer did not find the Wi-Fi signal after I plugged it back in and it reset.
Will be giving them a call to see about having the WI-Fi Router replaced too.

Hey Wheels, my Officejet Pro 8600 went tango uniform in December as well. Did you get a message on the screen about a failure, to power-cycle the printer, and if that didn’t work, to contact HP?
Never saw a message from HP @chipwich. I had the 8600 in an unheated sunroom which apparently was letting the ink get too cold to flow properly. Once I brought it back into the house and the ink warmed up it started working properly again.
Still need the print head for the DesignJet 120 though.

Edit: We have had the HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer since October 2012.
