Uh Beach - “why won’t this damn thing start…!!” happens to me in every module…

You should have seen me trying to get the Hawk started once - I figured…eh…it’s a basic trainer…how hard could it be? They hid some fuel shutoff valve really well or something…

That’s ok. You should have seen my face when @EinsteinEP showed me that I don’t have to pump the fuel pressure plunger 18 times to start the 109.

I’m afraid to count the real hours I am not getting back the last year and a half…

So i was wondering: Is there going to be a version of the viggen with all of the Swedish words in the cockpit covered with masking tape and their english equivalents written in in sharpie? Some of those words man…whew! :grimacing:

The sharpie cockpit mod would be awesome! Now in red sharpie!

I remember back when the gazelle released, you could only get it for the NTTR :slight_smile: atleast ED combined it with a good deal for the NTTR :smiley:

Sorry guys, I feel like Tankerwade. Its a sharp slap to the face today. No Viggen unless I spend time learning how to make another install.

I am trying to follow this…

Fridge

1.Copy e:\Games\DCS World to e:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta (where E:\Games\DCS World is the path where you installed DCS Release);
2.Create a file in e:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta named dcs_variant.txt;
3.Add the following line to that file: openbeta
4.Launch Game and exit;
5.Copy the Input folder from your release Saved Games folder to the OpenBeta saved games folder (The path for these escape me at the moment but maybe c:\Users\Saved Games?);

It seems to just make a copy of 1.5 release. I get no new folder in Saved Games. What am I doing wrong? Does the txt file go in the main directory?

Sorry. I got to fly it today or I die lol.

Maybe i missed something, but isn’t this the easier option? no need for another install

Since we talk about DCS stuff, is there a way to remove all the modules icons from the bottom of the main UI?

Uninstall… ba dum tiss

Eh, nope. They turn grey.
Also you’re just as funny as the nose of a F-111 falling off.

:stuck_out_tongue:

You shouldn’t hook the radar up to the flux capacitor

Yeah but don’t cross the streams!

I guess I can just grab Open Beta off the ED website? Will I then be able to add the Viggen?

yes DCS World 2.8 Open Beta

You could also use @SkateZilla’s tool to transmogrify your stable install to the beta install, as has been talked about before.

Installing a new variant of DCS will first make it look for any other install, and take the necessary files from that, so the download won’t be humongous.

@Maico

Just grab the utility in my previous post. You don’t need a separate install. The utility quickly will transfer your 1.5 install to open beta and back again to stable release anytime you want without another install.

Guys, I have made another install. Now that I have Open Beta, where is the Viggen? Is it still not released?

Thank you for your support

Which makes perfectly sense because Alpha is before Beta.

Just putting some fuel in the fire. It’s cold outside…
