There was a quote on this thread a while ago that made me laugh so hard. I canât find it or who said it but the gist was he could of thrown his helmet at him from that range let alone switch from missiles to gun
It really tickled me
I enjoyed reading about the making of the film. The people flying the jets pointed this out, to which Tony Scott responded âthis looks cool though, tactical distances donâtâ. In retrospect, Tony Scott was right.

On a screen, ârealâ looks quite far and everything is either super tiny to get them in the same frame or they are cutting back and forth which loses geography.
Some concessions must be made, although there are a few instances in the film where I think they couldâve afforded another few wingspans in separation without undue detriment and it wouldnât have been so absurdly close.
Yet 30 years later weâre still talking about it, soâŠ

Iâm no Ridley Tony Scott, but I remember watching some MiG kill films from SE Asia that dad brought home, and they were quite compelling. It could be done, but would take a director with a penchant for realism. Donât ask me about the airshow tight vics in Dunkirk.

Itâs hard to get exited about VKB stuff though, as their supply chain consists of a lone, narcoleptic lemur assembling things with rocks.
Nothing is EVER in stock (at least at the NA site), and they donât do pre-orders, so you have as much chance of winning the lottery as getting an order in.
