Thanks so much Paul. We are clawing our way back and currently have some momentum with our retail product. Bar and restaurant biz is still way off. Just happy to be here. I need to figure out how to ship a 4 pack (pints).
Glad to hear that you are making some headway on the retail side. I canāt imagine the stress you must be under. One of these days I plan on having a beer with you (and Iām buying at least the 1st round ).
honestly i donāt fly much the p38ā¦
my squad mates love it tough!
No, I think that was a literal truth there.
Weāre doing the best we can to accommodate everyone, but we canāt tell the factory make more than their capacity.
They could tell them to do it, but the factory will simply refuse for the aforementioned reasons of likely sales numbers and the curve of early sales to later sales. So they have no leverage with which to convince the factory to make at a higher rate. Factory ran the numbers, said āwe can make up to X per week, take it or leave itā and likely any other factory would charge them more.
So X is it.
Quite honestly, on the Giant Triangle of manufacturing, Iām very much ok with them choosing āgoodā and ācheapā over āfast.ā
Furthermore, the manufacturer is dependent on suppliers. Using an example that most of you will appreciate, to manufacture a case of beer, there is the cardboard tray, can, lid, label, and 4 or 6 pack holder or carton. If any one of those 5 items is not present in numbers required to meet your production schedule, the canning line comes to a halt. There is a can shortage at the moment, I believe because like us, breweries are converting production to meet higher retail demand. Yada, yada, yada.
That thought had also crossed my mind, and in several of the industries Iām talking to, even in places where manufacturing didnāt shut down, supply chains have been getting clobbered not only by parts manufacturers dealing with delays, but with transportation. Itās gonna be a while before anything is fully back up to speed, quite honestly.
Thereās a good reason you need a supply chain manager, especially since everything is JIT and LEAN based these days. Thereās no way to ramp up production unless your full chain has the same spare capabilities or you can find drop in parts that match spec and durability(or enjoy having to deal with a lot of recalls/warranty repairs/reputation damage).
Itās not as simple as is implied.
Reading AW&ST for all these past years about Boeing and Airbus trying to ramp up production of the 737 and 320, and then whatās happened with first the MAX grounding, then shutdown, then restarting just as COVID hitā¦
Itās literally hundreds of thousands of jobs globally just in the production chain that are getting hammered. Add the airlines and the MRO facilitiesā¦
Fair enough regarding all the points on supply chains and what not, and I apologize for my amateurish comment.
Also, it appears they do in fact have an order limit policy in place. Not sure if it was there at launch, but itās in place now, apparently, as I went to check:
BTW, up to week 6 production on the pre-order page. Wow.
Also, it looks like they did allow more than one order at launch, but went in and ban-hammered those guys. Double Wow!
If they are headquartered in the US they are likely to see lawsuits from the cancelling of the orders since they did not stipulate that condition before accepting the orders and taking payment.

Even if they offer a full refund?
I didnāt see either way in the checkout process either, but wondering if they had some legal CYA to the effect of āwe reserve the right to cancel ordersā buried somewhere.
aggressorblue, I probably came off a little too strongly with regards to your comments. TBH, I misunderstood and thought that you were quoting FB commentary. Weāve had a few challenges at work this year and Iāve been under a lot of stress lately. Apologies for my reaction.
Possibly? Will not necessarily stop the lawsuits if the person or persons feels aggrieved enough though. Get enough together for a class action and then that is a whole new can of wormsā¦

Iād hope that an established company would have a lawyer to call to cover their bases as par for the course.
If they havenāt until now, hopefully from here on they will.
I know itās easy to call lawyers the scum of the earthā¦but having your legal side up to scratch does de-risk a business big time, and thatās worth a bit of money.
No worries my friend, I was also a bit heated from the whole pre-order experience, so was out of line myself.
Sorry to hear about your business though. Independent brewer I take it?
Shipping update on the Facebook page:
ā The following weeks are when the factory has the production ready for QC inspection. It usually takes a few days to clear the inspection and another few days to prepare it for shipping. Please have a little patience, we will send you a tracking number once it is available.
If any significant delays occur (more than a week), we will let you know ahead of time.
1st week production: Week 44
2nd week production: Week 45
3rd week production: Week 46
4th week production: Week 47
6th week production: Week 49
Thank you for you support.ā
So basically across November is when they start hitting the water (W44 is the last week of Oct).
Welp, all the more time to finish my new simpitā¦
Yeah, the recent release of MSFS has created a run on flight sim kit in general, and thatās combining with the popularity of Honeycomb products to create a perfect storm here. My guess is itāll be summer 2021 at the earliest before you can ājust go and buyā a Bravo.
That said, if youāre going to offload some of your gear, nowās the time to do it. Iām seeing crazy prices for Saitek/logitech stuff.
At this point the first several weeks of these are sold out, at least through Honeycomb directly. Iād be shocked if the retailer has release day availability. For example, I believe Iām in the second week of production, so mine wonāt likely ship till mid Nov (see my post before Chazā). That said, Iād just do the amazon pre-order now, and cancel if on launch day he doesnāt ship. At this point the seller might not even know exactly how things will shake out.
Interested in this too, especially given that the trim wheel position means it canāt sit flat on a desk.
First pic of their forthcoming pedals popped up on FB. More deets āover the coming weeksā:
Looks like a nice cross section of civilian and military stye. Iām pretty set with my crosswinds, but will be interested to see if they offer anything novel where having a second set is warranted. I will say, I suspect these likely wonāt sell as hot as the yoke or throttle. Those are launching into a much less contested market, especially at the mid tier. These days it feels like everyone and their grandma have a pedal set on the market, or being spooled up.
