Yes. Just to be sure, I disconnected mine and then reseated it. It is all the way in and firmly in place. For reference, when playing IL-2 Great Battles, in the GUI it is lukewarm and during a flight it warms a bit more, but not so hot that it is uncomfortable to keep my fingertips on. IMHO, hot it what a the outside of a coffee cup feels like right after I fill it from a fresh pot, or boiling water for a cup of tea. That would be so hot, that it would be painful to keep my fingertips on for more than a few seconds. After the cup has cooled for 5-10 mins and I can keep my fingers on it without major discomfort is what I would call warm. The area is right above where I plug the connector cable and about two fingertips deep. The rest of the headset is cool. Based on other headsets that I’ve owned, it’s probably par for the course, but will be watching what others think.
I wasn’t even aware of it until @Chaz mentioned it. So many have reported it that if there really is a problem, I’m sure there will be a recall. For instance, my new Dell laptop gets warm when it’s charging via my Dell recommended USB-C dock. I would be concerned had I not had experiences with a bunch in the field that do this. I’ve also seen some Lenovo locking docks get so hot that asset tag labels we attached fell off. I warned the client not to buy Lenovo, but the partners had raging stiffies for the X1 Carbon, and bull-headedly forced the purchase. Now they are living with them. Oops, sorry about the tangent. I’m not going to sweat the G2 and enjoy using it until I hear otherwise.
Thanks man! Yeah, the only thing good about my O+ was the price and the lenses (ok, 2 things). It looks like a prototype of something not quite thought out - in order to make it comfortable.

At 150% it looks pretty good. I even bumped to 200% yesterday for grins. Surprisingly no major degradation in FPS; less shimmering.
Thing is though, I’m likely just used to it; a G2 would probably blow me away. Til I got used to that
Ha! Those quack conspiracy theorists were right all along! So I’m not alone after all. Well, the down side is I sent in my G2 before Thanksgiving and have been without it since. Customer support has been mediocre at best on answers.
I have had multiple answers ranging from we will send you a new one right away… we will try to repair yours and send it back… now it’s just idle and no definitive ETA. Maybe end of the month. I sent mine in early so I’m just hoping that being on the front of the wave mine will be taken care of first. In the meantime, it’s back to my G1.
Had a little scare last night. Put on the G2, it did not come on. Restarted the software, nothing. I restarted the PC… still nothing. I then pushed the cable in again at the headset…BOOM! and its working. Hope this does not become a regular thing…
Now Everyone knows the true meaning of this word is “Will arrive when the house is full of people on Holliday that do not approve of your hobby” One move towards the (Lovely) box will cause your spouse to look at you with eyes that shoot flames through your body.

Yeah… Looks like it will arrive on tuesday, when I’m back working again… And then I’m off duty for x-mas. Just waiting to hear Mrs. Microbiology say “but we’re going to my folks this holiday, rememer? I told you like in july…!”
