Wrong thread … this is obviously the Tesla thread now LOL!
Seriously tho, let us know how you like it. I have my finger hovering over the “Buy Now” button myself.

I replaced my CV1 rift with one, and its delicious. No more screendoor. Comfy (though it could do with an aftermarket face gasket) and easy to use.
I got my WIDMOvr lenses a few days ago. I’ve been in a real flying slump. They sat at my desk. Finally last night I decided to give DCS all its January updates, update my Vid drivers and WHOA!!! Beautiful scenery just everywhere. Tomcat was beautiful inside. I-16 Quick Ground attack mission in the snowstorm, out of this world. Then I tried the mission I consider the real trial. Its the F5 Vegas free flight. It was amazing.
Must fly more DCS.
was just wondering today how are you doing!?
…I saw PIMAX reference on BlueFlag server page and checked PIMAX site. And I recall you owned one? Or am I wrong?
That Pimax Artesian looks really good option too.
Yes, my ex head set was pimax 5k+ , sold it because pimax lens design > stereo depth is lacking. Sometimes it feels like two displays near your face > presence is lost.
I was thinking artisan but because pimax is bit hit and miss and support is terrible > reverb is it.
My VR history > Oculus Devkit 2 > CV1 > Samsung odyssey > pimax > Oculus quest > sold pimax and > Vive cosmos (great colors btw) and now gonna sell my cosmos soon as i get reverb
As some of you may remember, back in November when the G2 was first released, I had to send mine back within the first week of release (before Thanksgiving!) due to overheating issues. I was told it would be replaced within 1 week. HP changed their tone and said they would try to repair it and that become the end of December… Then the end of January… THEN the end of February. I had to call them out. It was escalated to a manager who did the right thing and immediately placed an order for a new one.
I received the new unit a few days ago and all appears to be in order. It does run a little warm (even sitting at idle)-- I don’t recall the G1 running warm-- but not nearly as warm/hot as my previous unit. I’ve tried a new surge protector thinking my previous one wasn’t regulating the properly voltage. Has anyone else experienced the warm/hot area above the left eye where the cable connects to the headset?
Yes, it gets warmer around this area.
Silicone VR Cover now available for the G2…I believe it is just a “sleeve” maybe that goes over your stock cover…so it isn’t the pad. At least, that is my impression…
Yeah, that would be similar to the silicone cover they made for the Rift S.
I will buy one when they get to their euro shop. I would like to see thst the G2 got some new facepads and frames, though. Just look at all the accessories they made for the Oculus Quest 2…
Well, got my REVERB G2… but no go
USB error , all ports are tested → turn out that msi 370z A pro usb controller is not suported → now i wait that my pci-e usb 3 card comes …
bruuuhhhh
SilverStone USB 3.0 -lisäkortti, 2 x ulk. USB 3.0 2 x sis. USB 3.0, PCI-E x1 - Jimms.fi
NEC uPD720201
My friend told that he has zero problem with this one.
Mine also gets warm. I have set it up so I can cut the power to it when I am not using it.
I have not done as much playing around with it as I have begun working again after a 3 week Covid-19 work at home period.
I hope that I am not to tired to do another G2 experience writeup during the weekend.
Happy Simming.
Long shot, and apologies if you tried/thought of it already, but I often forget about the USB on the GPU. My 2080 has a USB-C on it, so might be worth a try if your card has one.
1080TI here, no usb-c , but i get pci-e usb card tomorrow so lets see if it helps
Yeah that cable needs to be rammed home with an uncomfortably large amount of force.
What cable do you mean?
THAT cable!
the one that needs 5% more force to fully seat than a person is happy applying.
USB is the one where you need to rotate it three times in an orientation ‘good luck’ ceremony.
DisplayPort is the one where you play a ‘Feats of Strength’ mini-game where the click is either your wrist tendons exploding or the cable catch finally going in properly.
