HP Reverb G2

That is also something that Jabbers show in the video.

The Pixel density slider in DCS only moves with 0.1 increments and in the options.lua you can be more precise. In the video he uses 1.12 as an example and it does make a difference. So your 1.35 example will probably also make a difference from 1.3.

Will it work for 1.355? I haven’t tried it. I don’t know when I will get to optimising DCS in VR as Diablo II is taking all of my time.

Happy Simming

Mine will be arriving on the 7th, is that the date they release 2.7?

Sadly it isn’t. It’s been postponed to the 14th.

Of course!
Now I get it…
This is just the same, but not exactly, as when people increase the PD above 1.0 for a sharper image. You don’t get more pixels in your headset, but the picture looks better. Only this time, it’s not the DCS PD that does that job…

So, next question.

Steam VR Legacy Reprojection.
Yes or no?

I doubt it, but maybe worth a try. My understanding of this (without a click of actual research) is that that’s the old CPU driven Valve timewarp like reprojection (so just in 2 planes, no depth). If you turned off all Motion Smoothing in SteamVR then that would tell WMR not to use anything and then you could turn that on and see. As it’s not being done in the WMR compositor, but by the CPU on the OpenVR side maybe for some people with weird CPU/GPU bottleneck balances it helps? Stranger things have happened, so I bet it’s very per-game dependent, like things that just use core0 (looks at DCS sideways while they prepare Flaming Cliffs 4) maybe lots of idle other cores get something to do.

I’m trying to think of a reason why in theory it would be any good but am struggling. I wonder if the people seeing an improvement might just be turning off their GPU WMR reprojection and then just preferring that, and thinking this old legacy switch is scratching their placebo itch? Dunno.

Does anyone use a cover or bag for the headset when not in use.i am sure the amount of dust in our house has degraded the rift lenses over the years. I always felt I was causing damage when wiping them.

I cover it with a piece of cloth (until my daughter discovers it’s actually hers ).

I am storing my G2 and controllers in the bags that came with them to protect them from dust.

I’ve taken to covering everything anymore; HOTAS, keyboard, headset, etc; got tired of the ‘grunge’ that built up. Found a use for all those T-shirts I have…my office looks like my grandmothers living room - a place where we children where seemingly never allowed to venture into

This is imprisoned in Moscow in transit.

i need a nice chair to attach it to. I found a wonderful comfy one that will do the job perfectly. I have written a nice letter to the Captain asking if I can have his gaming chair for my study?

It is a perfect fit

I am sure they won’t miss it.

I got a cover for my VR hesdset from VR Cover

It keeps most of the dust out and shields the lenses from sunlight…

It’s downloading something in wmr so I have come for a smoke. I specifically bought my mobo with USB C support for such an eventuality as the reverb and guess what it doesn’t work :rage:

WOW I can see everything. Settings are going to take some tweaking but DCS looks great and no need for MSAA that I can see 45fps over the city in the huey free flight PG map
