QLED or Micro OLED, or…The Super Bundle…?
It looks really nice… I want to see more of the Somnium VR1, before I decide.

The OLED one.
I think I may have solved my CPU thermal throttling issue. Along with limiting the wattage as @Freak suggested, I also applied a CPU voltage offset of -0.105V. After running a couple of tests, doing this has actually increased the benchmark scores a little.
Just in time for the Phantom!
@jross << Not an expert: Read a few years ago, when the power usage and associated issues started to become a big[ger] thing, that doing that can keep it from overheating and thus performing better - doesn’t throttle itself due to over heating. Guess there’s a lot of factors. Glad it worked.
I watched several YouTube videos about under-volting the processor. Evidently the motherboard default settings will supply far more power than the Intel specs require. I was really surprised that you can get higher performance by reducing power, but once you understand what is going on, then I guess it makes sense.
Yup, that’s what happen in my case. Think it was a GPU. Didn’t make sense but it seemed to work. It’s like it’s all about Pow-wah!
I remember growing up my dad’s boat would do that. Due to a mismatch between outboard motor and the hull, the prop wasn’t far enough under water.
So if you went too fast, the prop would end up in the wake, cavitate, and the boat would suddenly decelerate like someone tied a bungee cord to the stern. The engine would race up to max RPM at the same time, too.
Sometimes limiting the power gives far more than when you try to exploit
My first reaction is… DAAAAUUUMMMM $$$… but then I say NOICE!! Looks solid… I say grab another 2TB M2 though and call it good!
3-5 year window is what I budget for replacement builds and you are right on that window.
I paid WAY too much to buy my 3070ti FE thanks to FOMO and “supply chain issues” so I’m kind of stuck for now… unless I can find someone unloading a 3080/3090 for a screaming deal because they jumped up to a 40xx or 50xx. Works fine on the 32" but I really want to push the VR. Of course, I’ve only got a Reverb G2 so there’s another upgrade needed… I better just enjoy what I have for a bit.
Oct 2025 is the end of support for Win10… I’m not updating until that gets close unless I find a really good deal on a Quest II or III…
I’ll definitely pick up another M2. For now I have moved my SATA SSD’s over from my old PC, which is now back in its original configuration. I’m going to wipe it clean and hopefully sell it. It still runs 2D games just fine at 1080p.
NICE
Awesome!.
W00P W00P!
And now to spend the next month tweaking DCS settings.
And I guess I should look at 2k or 4k monitors at some point soonish…
Your free to use the settings I posted above as a jumping off point! It may save you some time! They are the end result of much toil and mild frustration!
Holy moly man, NICE job there!
I want to make my new PC like that- eventually…
quick point did your 4070ti super come with a support bracket…
