oh, ya, me three
Except when driving through homes. Then no
It’s the only way to command! Although I wish there was a slightly hunkered down position between buttoned up and fully out, like in Steel Beasts.
I know exactly what you mean… With just your head out, not whole body… And the binoculars we should be getting in the next update will be bloody useful
Yeah, that’s it. Just a good job there’s no infantry I guess!
Haha that’s one way of doing it
Several of us were on a planes/tanks server this afternoon.
This first screenshot shows Tempusmurphy’s expert positioning of our tank, aka “hiding in the middle of a field”.
In the second shot, Tempus and I were following Mace into an airfield assault.
Nevo and Otto were flying top cover.
Was cool seeing your dogfights from the ground
will be better, because we will actually know what we are doing
We do?.. Erm, I mean yes we do!!..
I fired up the game after long break. Got some new planes in the sale too!
Night bombing mission in good old Polikarpov U-2.
Ouch, it does look cool in slow motion.
I saw you’d bought the U2, how is it?
… slow. I test flied it briefly, not much to tell. Flew this night mission where we supposed to attack some enemy positions. My wingmen did a level bombing from 1 km. I don’t know how they hit anything, is there a bomb sight on this plane? Because I didn’t find any. So I dived bombed and almost broke the plane.
it’s slow, but would it be too fast for the WWI kites?
I did a test of a D.VIIF vs a U-2 (SP vs. AI) when I first got Flying Circus. From what I remember, the D.VIIF was superior. I could just about shoot down an AI D.VIIF in the U-2, but shooting down the U-2 in the D.VIIF was child’s play by comparison.
Can’t comment on the other kites though.
Edit: To be fully clear, the D.VIIF was a bit faster at the low altitude I tested at; speeds were very comparable.
The German campaign was a great little set of missions, it felt really atmospheric, hopefully the Russian to one is as good
