Don’t know if you’ve already looked at these but I’ve found this guy’s tutorials extremely helpful when learning a new aircraft.

@Requiem was my go-to in Rise of Flight (still using his TrackIR profile in IL-2/ ROF/ Flying Circus). Didn’t know about him doing IL-2 stuff now- thanks!

Also, if you go into DUMA’s IL-2 Monday’s PWCG under files, you will see a document titled “Pilot Notes.” These were done by another guy over at the IL-2 forums which gives you detailed information on each aircraft and how it handles, it’s controls, types of systems the aircraft has and how to use them. Just go into DUMA and scroll all the way down to bottom.

Jumped by some P-40’s. Looks like the nose gunner got evaporated. Port engine stopped about half way to base and had to land in some farm fields. Luckily some friendly troops where near by.

Trying out the new map in IL-2 BOX and one of the new planes and oh does she fly well. The sound of the engine is just marvelous!

I found the game considerably harder, but in a good way. The AI is craftier. Bits of a hun plane that came off when I gave it a gentle hispano-suiza lovetap broke the twirly bit up front, don’t remember that happening before!. The pilot greys out far easier and earlier, and GLOC is no joke, better be careful with snapping the pole back!
Had a whale of a time during my little test flight.

Yup, you can put your own sweetheart in your cockpit so it’s her face you’ll be seeing last as you black out spinning to a fiery grave.

I’m also noticing a lack of Tempest shots. Will be a couple of days before my rig is back in flying condition and I can try these beauties for myself.
