The Elefant is quite the beast
Quite innovative for its day with a petrol/electric drivetrain, but that slack track design makes the (ex) tanker in me twitch uncontrollably… I am imagining the number of times per Km that it would throw a track!
In online play it is next to impossible to destroy with an Allied tank. Bombs require a direct hit to take it out.

Was one of the Ferdinand’s weaknesses being it did not have any defensive armament such as a machine gun?
Yes. Soviet infantry would easily place mines on them to disable. Ferdinands needed German infantry support due to no defensive armament.

I really must have a go at Tank Crew - I’ve had it since release in early access and have only sat in a can once - a T34, a couple of years back. Yet another one I keep saying “I must find time for that…” with. Got the AAA truck, too - that could be fun.
The AAA trucks are a ball to use to go ripping up and down the roads. I have to use the keyboard to drive mine as it is twitchy as all get out. I have to rapidly tap the left and right arrow keys to go straight and to turn. Any long key press of the left or right key when you are running at speed will cause them to roll over quite spectacularly. Most times I have been able to get one to roll is six times before it stopped. Sadly the crew did not make it…
