Great news. However i dont get this Founders edition business…
" This Founders Edition is intended for the flight sim enthusiasts who would like to support further development and includes all preorder content plus Year 1 DLC access, featuring five additional aircraft and new gameplay features to be revealed in the future."
Really? For 60 extra ducks, i want to know what im getting. Im on the fence…
Gameplay video
bloody pricey for the founders edition, but thats what steam sales sre for ![]()
Man that looks good.
You had me at pilot models in the cockpit.
Hmmm looks yummy. Still tho. Russia…
No “Clicky Pit”? ![]()
No. Clicky pits are hard. 9/10 simers don’t care. I, and maybe you, are the 1/10.
I’d take FS9 level clickly pits. I don’t want to have to remember 90 keyboard shortcuts, when I can just click a few spots to do the same. On the flip side I’m not sure I need an electrical system that models the change in impedance between difference wire connections based on a randomized series of different factory assemblers and what they ate for breakfast that morning.
Another nice and fresh video
mine was already pre ordered, yes no ckicable pit, but to have the best korea airwar sim ever made i can live with it, also these kind of aircraft are not a nightmare of switches so, a joystick mapping profile works well here.
Im thinking it will be out by Summer…
The pits aren’t clickable. (And to me this is criminal in this day and age.) However, instead of being forced to remember Left-Alt-Cntl-L-2 they now have a fast menu that allows for quick switch manipulation. The game looks great!
I think, if not shows up some surprises, on spring is out.
I fully agree, i much more prefer clickable pits, but this is a old heritage from the il2 battle of…. where also heritage from il2 sturmovik. In the development of il2 Bo…. (what they call now GreatBattles) me and few others called and asked for clicable cockpits, and as much we explained that we ask for BOTH ( clickable and mapped keys) like dcs, the devs with laziness and gatekeepers only wanted to understand that if they do clickable cockpit they will loose the mapped keys, and did a fight so hard with hordes of gatekeepers that devs decided the lazy way and never do a clickable cockpit. I agree that is sad and sucks. BUT, we like it or not, overall it still the nr1 in ww2 combat flight sim, in features, visuals, contents, career, etc etc etc and add the fact that the aircraft in real not have 100s of switches like a modern/cold war fighter, we can map almost all functions in a good joystick, so fair enough as we usually flood our joysticks with funtions on dcs, even having clickable pit.
So imho its a negative feature, but affordable and easy bypassed, and in this case to have the best sim in this theatre of war, its ok to live with that.
shhhhhh, please don’t say that, lets stick on the Q2 hopes….
Much as I would love clickable pits, I’m glad they at least implemented pilot bodies!
The Pit not being clickable does not make it a dealbreaker. Its not DCS and I guess I have learned to live with that. That said, I know I will get it. At this point I would like to know what I am getting for that substantial amount of money.
