The updated armory mod worked great, I was like half asleep for DOI, I’ll throw up some screen shots later I keep forgetting. I few people I hadn’t seen before.

I was late and drowsy for Day of Infamy as well because I had just replaced my Windows SSD and installed a second SSD for my hard drive hungry sims … ArmA3, DCS, Squad … those three alone filled a 256 GB SSD. :grin:

Anyway, I agree … I’m really liking “The Armory: Expanded” … some nice custom guns in there like the SCAR-H and G36C … and they sound great too! The 12 player feature is just a bonus now.

“The Armory: Expanded with 35 Angry Bots” was causing some crashes though (something about too many or too few edicts) so we’ll just stick with the Expanded version and maybe increase the default bot intelligence to spice things up.

The last Insurgency patch uncapped the mp_coop_lobbysize (8 player) restriction so that’s cool … don’t need a cooplobbysize plugin anymore … not that it ever worked in the first place.

I’m really hoping they uncap mp_coop_lobbysize in Day of Infamy as well.

One last thing … as per adlabs request, I’ll increase the number of rounds to 2 per map instead of just 1.

argh, just realized I’m not going to make either night this weekend either. I should be around for the 10th and 11th, but I’ll probably miss the following week too. I’m gonna be all bad at shooting again :cry:

I take back what I said about Rhino … the kid is alright! :slight_smile: He’s been trying to help me break through the 8 player coop limit in Day of Infamy.

On the Insurgency front, new on tap for this Friday’s IFF (9pm EST) … the default enemy AI has been increased to “Unforgiving” and it seems good after testing.

It’s not quite the “Brutal” setting but they will still actively hunt you down or sometimes run back into cover if you’re engaging them so, be careful, stick together, watch your sectors and don’t die!

We’ve got 35 great checkpoint maps to choose from and 12 player sluts … um, I mean slots, so bring a friend!

Ok, the decision to set default bot difficulty to Unforgiving was a bit harsh. I didn’t fully understand the different levels …

0 – Forgiving (Easy)
1 – Normal
2 – Unforgiving
3 – Brutal

We’ve always played at Forgiving (Easy) and we’ve found it so easy that we’ve always increased the bot count to 20.

I’m going to compromise and lock the difficulty at Normal since you can’t really take any pride in a Victory on Easy mode right?

Also, TK’s are now punishable by death. :smiling_imp:

I think we found out the hard way last weekend that we need more human troops to defeat these AI bastards!

good rounds tonight lads. Aside from the friendly fire nades. And our poor sense of who’s covering doorways… I think we had like 11 deaths or more from people (myself included) walking directly into line of fire haha.

Yup, some great Insurgency / Day of Infamy sessions this last weekend guys!

Someone (I think it was gongo?) mentioned a new Vietnam mod for Day of Infamy last Saturday night so here it is! (Born to Kill: Vietnam) …

I just installed and tested it on the “YYZ Tactical” server and it checks out so if a majority of us are interested, we could switch to it at any time in the future.

There are some associated maps but all we’re interested in (for coop) is Cu Chi Tunnels, Hastings, Khe Sanh and POW Raid.

I for one can only wish to get a whiff of napalm in the morning! :grin:

I should be around for insurgency but likely not for day of infamy next weekend. I’m down for the mid though whenever.

There’s a slim chance that I will get home in time for the end of the session tonight. I suggest you double fist some mountain dew or coffee, so you can stay awake longer. :smile:
