Kinda Sad That On Certain Forums We Can't Really Talk Sims

The one thing I cannot understand is how IO had all these great friends in college, and. ow I cannot stand them in Facebook?!

…well…truth be told, there are two things I cannot understand, the aforementioned Facebook thing and the whole Schrödinger’s cat paradox…we may need a second thread for the cat thing…just a thought.

Louis CK (yeah, I know) has a great bit on how he becomes a monster behind the wheel and how it doesn’t make any sense. Here is the bit - NSFW for language though:

Well, I’ve been a lurker for a looong time, and this topic finally convinced me to come out of the shadows. I’ve shared many of the same feelings you’ve all mentioned, that people can get way too on edge about something that’s supposed to be enjoyable at the end of the day. The very fact that you’re aware of and discussing the topic shows that this site is very different from pretty much anywhere else on the internet, and that is a great thing.

Anyways, G’day everyone!

Hey Roo, where in Oz? NSW here

I’m actually in the US of A, but spent a lot of time growing up around Perth. Picked up the accent, hence the callsign.

Welcome aboard @Roo. I don’t know much about Perth other than that is a sailing Mecca and I think some America’s Cup races were held there. I remember watching the races and hearing about the “Freemantle Doctor”. Would love to go visit Australia again…it was our favorite place we visited (and we’ve been to a lot of places).

Canadian, eh? Where’s her accent from, out of curiosity?

Hey Chuck,
Edmonton, and if you know that area, Sherwood Park, and if you know that area, the birds

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone!

Yup, and I’m living in another windsurfing Mecca now (Columbia Gorge). Always nice to spend an evening on the beach.

Nice pic. The real ones can get pretty big too!

Oh man…I’m jealous because I’m a windsurfer. The Gorge is up there with Ho’okipa for revered windsurfing spots. Heck…is anyone even windsurfing these days? I thought we were run off the water by kite-boarders. Here I am in my younger days blasting off in Wilmington…

Oh yeah, still lots of windsurfing around here. The new craze is hydrofoiling, but I prefer standard sailing. Hydrofoiling is a bit slow for the speed demon in me.

Hasn’t changed much in 15 years…

Of course he won. You think Iron Man is tough? He’s nothing compared to Iron Roo.
