Ah yeahā¦looks like the base is still at 36%. Apparently we are knocking down @Rhinosaurusās hangar wallsā¦
Whoa now!
Yes - and I did find the tab that shows that there WILL be commodity storage for 5,000 lbs. once the base is being constructed, so that must be the default (maybe based on the airport size too). Looks like it has about 20 more hours to go before being finished. I kind of like the lack of instant gratification!
Making a run in the Bush 172 again.
Hey @Rhinosaurus - I think someone needs to go tell the guy at Pullman that parked his CRJ where his tail is blocking access to the taxiway to go get a tug and move itā¦
Turbulence has settled down around Pullmanā¦smooth heading southeast bound at 7,500āā¦
I see @smokinhole on my tracking mapā¦he is just out of or into Moses Lakeā¦also see Wanderer out there tooā¦
Yep. I was 7000ā OVER Mosesāmy destination! Why? Because I was typing in the āBSODā thread. Fly or Mudspike. Donāt do both!
I havenāt done so much VOR/DME navigation and pilotage in a long time! This is so much funā¦
No idea if I did it correctly, but (C172 Bush) I managed to find KBLI from a radial/dme off VOR (149/9.3). This is the stuff I wanted to do. And haulin the freight is excellent motivation.
What was ATC doing? Was NWA on the wrong freq (probably; missed a transfer is my guess)? Monitoring 121.5 - may be a company-specific thing on that though. AIRINC even, though not everyone subscribes you can call the companyās version.
I made Ā£17k yesterday flying a 700lb mixed load of fine china and cigarettes (using the commodity purchasing and selling) from S33 (Madras) up to KMWH (Grant) yesterday using the victor airways. I am starting to really like travelling the Dalles, Yakima routes and scooching across to Portland in that gap from Dalles.
Yeah - you should be getting some awesome views of Mount Hood. Enjoy themā¦this weather has been pretty awesomeā¦!
It really has! There was a little mist yesterday morning and it was beautiful. I also love the way Yakima just comes out of nowhere, what seems a massive sprawling city compared to the landscape around.
Currently taking my first VR flight with AH2. I was holding off until I got a bit more familiar with AH2. I did the short 9nm hop over to Schoepflin (WN26) from Pullman to pick up a load and take to 25U.
I forgot how awesome VR and X-Plane is. With ortho and a now a purposeā¦Iām in heaven. And the STMA A-1C Husky is really straightforward to operateā¦that helpsā¦
I just wish I had a browser in VR so I wouldnāt have to peek under my headset. I know there is a way to do it, but Iām happy just keeping it simple for now and adding more layers to the house of cards soon.
