Looks like some miserable weather over in the Seattle area initially today, then largely clearing up. Fair skies throughout the rest of the state. No NOTAMS for KEAT today (check regularly though!)
As we used to say in college…
Q “Is it nice out?”
A “Yes. I think you should leave it out.”
Yeah, just blocked in at KBVS and the trip up from Tacoma was clear, albeit really hazy for a morning in the PNW.

Don’t forget about WXBOT! Put (METAR XXXX) or (TAF XXXX) where XXXX = ICAO ID and use square brackets instead of parentheses!

Cool. Giving WXBOT a spin.

Sorry about the duplicates. When I initially tried WXBOT, I received a 500 error.

How cool is this! Thank you WXBOT! I’m going to do this every 5 minuets for the rest of the day!

WXBOT seems to be social distancing from me today…
…anyway I was trying to post something like this:
I know that really flying in bad WX is, shall we say, not greatly yearned for by RL pilots (and RL passengers like myself).
However, for an only-sim pilot, like myself, I enjoy the challenge.
So while things are peachy in the PNW, here in Hampton (and I suspect the home bases of the RL Mudspike pilots in the region) we are looking at a bit of a different situation.
I’m doing DCS today but if I wasn’t I would be checking this out. Just imagine, flying a cargo of COVID-19 vacine to an orphanage somewhere in this mess!!

I especially like gusts to 18 Kts and TS in the area.
Well the F-22s at Langley are flying in this…
A broad area of moisture moving up from the southwest…but the forecast is still very good for WA with just some showery conditions but good ceilings and visibility forecast…
That depends on what you call “bad”. low stratiform clouds; fog, (with good alternates atound); heavy rain—all are great fun to fly in. Thunderstorms, icing, turbulence, windshear—total work.
Yeah…I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told an FO - “man…I can’t wait to get into these clouds so I can get this damn sun out of my face…”
