I’m cautiously optimistic after failed projects like Fighter Ops, Jet Thunder and Seven G F/A-18 Hornet.
But the one thing MicroProse has going for them is their name and history. Plus David Lagettie is double dipping in with MP and TitanIM. It will boil down to $$$.
You have all the rights to be! ![]()
I hope everyone realises I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind- I’m just stating my feelings.
And all feelings are valid! ![]()
NO!!! YOU’RE WRONG!!!

Oh great all-seeing seer Discobot, is @komemiute wrong?
@Discobot fortune
Better not tell you now

(I was obviously threatening Discobot disintegration with my blaster there…)
Lol, this is going to be an absolutely mind blowing great resurgence of an old company. The reason I know is that due to recent life changes I am not going to have the time to play any of the new titles for at least a decade. ![]()
Wheels
Well, glad to have Chaz connecting the dots. He is reaching the same sort of conclusion I had some time ago myself, and he is right to be cautious - and optimistic too. ![]()
As for who is David and what he does, I can tell you that, to the very least, he is as nostalgic and enthusiastic a player as us members of the MPS generation are all. Lately a few of us have been trying to revive the genre, some have done so in their own backyard already (cf. Killerfish’s Cold Waters) and it all comes to a point where there seems to be some sort of new generations of people ready to claim the mantle. We will see where it will lead us, but I harbor the wish for us to get there together as much as we can.
At any rate, let’s cross fingers in the meantime - well, you people cross fingers, we will be busy pulling our own fingers out. Just be there to support as all when time comes ![]()
Disco doesn’t want to wake up with another horse head in his bed… ![]()
Unless, of course, someone announces a remake of ”Flight of the Indruder”…

I got the version with the book… ![]()
Remember buying it by sending an order note, by mail, with a intl. bank check, to a store in England, after reading their ad in a games magazine. Took ages before it arrived and I thought I had been scammed. That was before I understood about the ”2 weeks™” game development concept. ![]()
Still have the book and the manual… ![]()
We just became best friends!
If you’re waiting for ED, you’re better off loading up SF2 to get your Intruder fix.
I suck at using the internet on my phone. Sorry.
Yep book, and the box, also the DVD
I seem to remember ECM being very effective in that game to the point you just had to switch it on to render the enemy radars and SAMs useless.
The DIANE thing was great.
A-G Radar API to be finished to the degree necessary for the radar/ dual radars (depending on version), as well as maybe reworking the infrared/ laser spotter if you’re looking at the A-6E TRAM version?
Also, I would argue that programming a Tiger Cole AI B/N would probably be even more complicated than Jester as the RIO.
They could try their hand at a SLUF first ![]()
And I believe it was the first flightsim on the Amiga to accept analogue joysticks. But you had to use a PC joystick and make an adapter, so I did! ![]()
I remember the superior control it gave me when doing rocket attacks in the Intruder.
I think it was one of the first to allow multiplayer as well, through an RS232 or parallel port connection. You could have 1 person flying the A-6 and another in the F-4.
How far we’ve come. ![]()
