Well, I’m very excited - this news from MS and the -admittedly rumoured only - specs that will be required to run it has finally driven the last nail into the coffin for my RTX 2060.
I never thought I would pay the kind of money that nVidia demands for their top of the range hardware, but I just caved (after hours of research) and ordered a 2080 Ti. Okay, I’m not well off in any way, financially, and bought the cheapest I could find from a reputable company (Zotac), but who cares? It’s n RTX 2080 TI!! 
Despite the fact that my 2060 has been very good - and better than the 1060 it replaced, I have been really disappointed with the graphics in flight sims, and whilst I still expect to have problems with DCS World - I’d recently resigned myself to flying 1.5.8 in VR - I do expect this new card will do wonders for my simming in general, and all games I play, most of which are very demanding on the VGA.
Well done, Microsoft - you got me to do what no other could!
