So whilst I have been doing a lot of other stuff & keep coming back around to electronics stuff, I keep realising I need to do things better, so I came up with this generic panel backplate.
it will accomodate most of the common controller cards, such as Arduino MEGA & UNO
or Arduino nano/ micro in a shield board (same footprint as UNO)
not forgetting my STM32 bluepill (FreeJoy) shield board, the standalone board will have the same footprint
not forgetting a nano in a screw connector shield
it doesnt have dedicated holes for it, but it can utilise some of the existing holes
personally Im not a fan of the screw type shields for anything but temporary/breadboarding.
I’ve designed a little mount clip for the AliExpress Shift Register Dev boards, & the pro-micro board can utilise the nano shields just fine, but less available pins…
