I think that if you have a good enough internet connection then there is little to worry about. It’s basically going to be MSFS2020 on steroids. My concern is my StarLink connection. Hopefully it will be up to the task.

Yup. Downloaded and installed, signed into Xbox account, now it’s been on Loading Language foreeeever.
I’m guessing this is a first time load thing. After languages, it works on activating packages, which is where I am at right now…
Maybe bad language.

Hmm, I cannot get past Xbox login screen it seems, endless loading loop…
Ya my mouse and keyboard do not work once the xbox login shows up so I was not able to log in. I have to minimize the game to get the mouse curser to show up.
Sim to MSFS where only my game pad worked.

Same here, but with a lot of practice, I was able to click on the password field and paste my password in, to then progress with a number of tabs to login. But there seems to be no hope. Stuck at 10% Activating packages since 10 minutes already.
Anyone remember when you got an optical disc, installed it and played in roughly 15 minutes?

I think we should get a Steam/Xbox achievement for getting through Activating Packages. 
I walked away to do some things around the house and finally got through it.

Well turns out activating packages has got nothing on "97% Loading unusually long: log saved to Report " .

I got through all the loading (took more than 1h) and got stuck on Character Customization loading screen…
I guess too many people are trying to get in and servers are swamped.
But in case of games that are dependent mostly on servers we have to get used to a launch day being basicaly legitimate DDoS attack.

Download time counts as game time. If you plan to refund before the 2 hours are up, maybe wait a day or two.

I’m going to say that the launch is a bit of a flop. They obviously are not ready for the number of players who are trying to play.
I’m sure that the demand on the servers is huge, but they should have anticipated that.
