Think of this as an adendom to the Bush strips from hell links that I posted a little while ago
Iâm at the other end of the spectrum. Old guy with 3 x middle school kids, two of which are involved with travel sports teams. Just spent the weekend in Baltimore lacrosse tournament. I cherish the time with them, but loath being away from my sim rig, I mean wife.
I feel your pain. My face is so sunburned. Spent the weekend (not that far away) at a soccer tournament in Statesville, NC. Good news is - four gamesâŠfour winsâŠand our team won the event. Always fun to see the smiles on their faces after thatâŠ
Thatâs so rewarding when your childâs team brings home a tournament win. Makes all of the practices, private coaching, pushing them to workout on their off days, and travel expense worthwhile. Good chance to bond with them as well. Will be over soon enough.
Congratulations for the awesome accomplishment.
New Update
Stability & Performance
- Fixed a somewhat rare crash occurrence of the model behavior parser due to recent changes making it run in parallel (was introduced in SU3)
- Fixed wrong usage of resized bitmap dimensions instead of original ones when sampling textures (fixes WASM gauges corruption on Xbox Series S and on PC with âLowâ texture resolution)
- Fixed random live view leak for WASM instruments (could impact VRAM after multiple restarts)
General Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the selection cursor could disappear in the marketplace tab in the aircraft selector
- Fixed planes flares occlusion when using multiple windows.
- Fixed an issue causing incorrect occlusion of plane flares near screen edges.
- Resolved an artifact regression issue involving trees and fog rendering.
Aircraft
- Corrected the contact points to 0 to fix the aircraft (B737, DA-62, Extra330 and Hot air Balloon) sliding sideways during belly landing.
- Fixed incorrect wind calculation at the top of certain buildings and object structures that could happen in the Needles landing challenge and other places.
Boeing 737 MAX 8
- Adjusted the sensitivity of the trim wheel.
Heart Aerospace ES-30
- Fixed wipers disapear depending of the cockpit camera rotation
Physics
- Fixed fallback behavior when âempty_inertia_tensorâ is invalid: now correctly reverts to legacy logic even if legacy parameters (âempty_weight_pitch_MOIâ, âempty_weight_yaw_MOIâ, âempty_weight_roll_MOIâ, âempty_weight_coupled_MOIâ) are missing.
Flight System
Flight planning
- Fixed multiple issues related to flightplan sync between EFB, GPS, ATC and ribbons.
EFB
- Polished the panel border stylesheet
Traffic
Air Traffic
- Parked aircraft now have a better mix of planes and liveries.
- Fix remaining cases where unoptimized models would be used for AI Traffic.
- Adjust ratio of parked aircraft to be spawned and fix issues that can lead to overcrowded airports.
- Fixed a problem where parked aircraft had a chance to not fully load the model and stay invisible.
DevMode
Camera Editor
- Fixed a crash when opening the Camera Editor from the Mission Editor
SimObject Editor
- Fixed several incorrect behaviours when using the Edit in place mode
SDK
Exporter 3DSMAX
- Fixed exportnormal scale
- Fixed bug when creating preset group in new scene
- Properly initialize Default option preset (fix double add glitch)
- Visual differenciation between model groups and gltfs in lists

One of the best mods out there!
I definitely need to get that one.
Flying over the sea and meeting a ship is just so cool. It makes a rather boring part of a flight interesting.
DownerâŠ
Iâve got an hour in that POS!
One of the greatest looking aircraft IMO.
I really really was bummed over not seeing the Staten and Liberty Island ferries when cruising over New York! Now theyâre back!
Was it Stevens Aviation in Greenville SC that had some?
Definitely gonna get that one!
Your old certificate holder, Piedmont Aviation. Iâve told the story before. My boss and friend, Ed Craig, wanted to give me a type-rating as a step up. So we flew a few trips in Krispy-Kremeâs Lear 31 and Piedmontâs Starship. In the end I decided that I wanted to pursue the airline route. The Lear was so much fun that I judge no one for choosing that over career, family, home, honor, etc. I had to fly it with my head cocked slightly to the right or left, depending on the seat. What a delightful little machine. The Starship was a joke. Beautiful? Yes. When the first one came to Piedmont some of us ran across the street to the hangar to see it. Two went into the cockpit while the rest pilled into the cabin. King Airs all have polarized windows that go from light to dark by rotating the window itself CW or CCW. In the Starship, this was done with a switch. The plane was powered but some of us noticed that the switches werenât rotating the inner panes. But some panes were turning on their own. Turned out that the wiring was crossed between switches and seats. It was loud. It was slow. It flew like a truck. It landed at 120 knots. It was maybe one of the turdiest airplanes I ever flew. Rutan did his job well. Beechcraft ruined it.
Oh (responding to Beachâs fondness for the flight deck mentioned below) it did have a really cool cockpit (for itâs day). Friend/boss Ed was asked to help celebrate the coast to coast opening of I-40 by flying the Beech low along a section of the NC portion of the highway. This coincided with an aviation event nearby and the Starship was placed on static display. After an hour the screens stopped working. The DUs were too hot. Even with the power off for hours, the screens wouldnât come back. Ed couldnât fly home before the plane was placed in an air conditioned hangar long enough to cool off.
