If I get the standard addition, what all transfers over from MSFS? I see the Aviator edition is basically just the ālegendsā AC from MSFS, Iād assume those transfer?
@jenrick someone else will have to address your questions about assets transferring from -20 to -24. All I know is that on XBOX, -20 marketplace purchases are very slowly becoming accessible to -24.
As @PaulRix says, visually, -24 is greatly improved. The word āgobsmackedā describes my reaction almost daily to some new discovery, be it visual or gameplay. Iāll give just one example that alone made -24 worth buying for me: Photography. Flying a helicopter or Cub variant around Africa has been such a joy. Some animals have proved elusive. Iāve yet to find a lion for instance. But when I do find what Iām looking for, they react to my presence in amusing ways. And those reactions differ whether I am on foot or terrorizing the poor beasts from above. Are they realistic reactions? Probably not. Still, my suspension of disbelief is total. And even the fruitless lion searches have been no less fun. Iāve found little hamlets in the oddest places. Some people just donāt want neighbors, Africans no less so than Europeans. Iāve been to Africa but I was never captivated by it like this. Through the sim I can appreciate it virtually. Yes, the Career is flawed but ****! it is such fun when it works. Some SAR missions prove impossible after 30 minutes of flying. It can be enough of a drag that I momentarily curse every employee at Asobo. But then you find that slab of granite just big enough for one skid while the other rests on the slope and your stupid lost hiker makes it aboard. Iāll look over at my wife sharing the couch but watching Japanese TV on her phone. āDid you SEE that!?ā (She never does.) Crop dusting is a hoot. Itās both relaxing and unnerving like Tetris. The Career AI dialog is beyond stupid. You just have to look past that as with much of the gameās flaws.
So hereās me, in my Athens hotel room at 0230. I crewed a 767 to get here. (The greatest flying airliner ever made in my biased opinion.) If the wind gods are in my favor, I am going to land on 29 in Newark in a couple of days (my favorite airliner approach). And yet I am thinking of this damn sim and how I canāt wait to try the update!

@smokinholeās fascination with MSFS 2024 should make anyone stand up and take notice. I need to try it. I think I have a couple hours in it total? Iām just getting home so exhausted lately that Iām just likeā¦fly a 20 minute Yankee Air Pirate mission and Iām good. My sim time is way down. Way way down. Not sure quite what it is. And itās funnyā¦because Iāll THINK about it. Likeā¦more than anything I want to play VTOL VRā¦and I THINK about it all the time. But then I canāt get motivated to put my ass in the chair. The oddest thing.

same here , but with racing atm . damn rabbit hole , but cant force my self to setup my table with the steerwee ( new word for steering wheel , english needs single words for simple things

one question for MSFS24 PC users . does it perform better than 20 on the same hw ?
probably I could youtube it ā¦ ( but feel free to answer my question , but be aware that I am enough old to make my own opinion first [ even before asking ] and then will just blatantly ignore your answers / suggestions

Chris, since we are similar in age and background, I think it is no surprise that we are maybe hitting the same wall. This hobby has grown with us, from little more than a screen with a blue half and a green one, to the Phantom in VR. Weāve seen our childhood dream come true. Maybe weāve simply had enough.

I find my motivation to sim is directly proportional to how much real flying Iām doing. If Iām busy at work then serious simming seems likeā¦well, work. Recently i have been busy with work and on the road a lot.
I have had some fun in the F4 and Gazelle over the past few weeks though.

Iām interested in hearing too. Iāve been holding out and will continue to do so until Iām convinced that 2024 is where I want/need it to be. Then itās on!
Iām in the āoddest thingā flight pattern too. Crazy thing is, I bought DCS Germany, installed the map, and havenāt yet flown it. I look at my hardware, tell myselt itās time to fly, then end up playing Baldurs Gate 3.
Iām starting to wonder if sim burnout is a thing. Well, back to MSFS 2024ā¦ Thanks for the comments so far.

to you ask that its because you not have a Nasa PC, right? So, i saw many people in foruns claiming that msfs24 performed wost than v20, ok, its depends of your PC.
My ancient and vintage PC, stupidly runs the v24 better than v20, yeah, strange but true!
I have an i7 920 (yeah first gen. of i7) 24GB RAM and a vintage GTX 1060 w/ 6GB VRAM, so use that as reference. OFC its not 60 fps, but if i disabled the fps counter and not get stupidly hypnotized with the fps counter, i got a fluid/smooth without stutter, its exactly that what it cares! i donāt give a sh.t if that smooth experience the fps is at 3000 or at 3 fps, what matters is that if is without stutter and smooth. Nowadays too many people worries more with fps counter than all other things.
Ahhhh and i use photogrametry turned on on v24, on the v20 i should turned off the photogrametry turned off because performance.
So, from my experience, if your pc runs the v20, it will run the v24.

Short question, guys:
I was about to click the purchase button when I noticed that the Citation Longitude is only present in the Premium Deluxe edition.
I am not very interested in the other premium deluxe planes, so spending 140ā¬ instead of 90ā¬ for one plane seemsā¦ excessive.
Does anyone know if I can buy it separately as well?
