I have been flying the F111 and MiG 25 in MSFS2024. I didn’t exactly do an in depth study, but both seem to fly quite nicely in the newer sim.

i think the mig21 is not yet on msfs24

I purchased the MiG21 on the MSFS2020 marketplace IIRC, and I was able to bring it across to 2024.
It’s not a native 2024 aircraft of course… but it seems to work ok.

nice to know thanks. I have 2 licenses of it, 1 in marketplace and another outside it (to allow weapons config) on orbx. On Orbx it continues to say only msfs20 and sadly my tries of contact them through email was without any reply Their website looks a some kind of abandoned in terms of support.

I think it is possible to copy an Orbx purchased item from wherever you installed it , into the 2024 community folder. It’s a hassle but it should work.

From here i see that exist a some kind of limited compatabilty, its sad that no official update:

GKS Mig-21Bis - Discussion Hub / Aircraft - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

Everyone (devs) jump to msfs and abandoned all projects on xp and p3d, but with msfs24 many devs and projects are not migrated, when i think the adjustments are not so hard from v20. So, where is the mood/behavior from them that the last one is always the best to be? specially that after multiple patchs overall the msfs24 is superior to msfs20

cool vid , but …

… not doing ytubing for living but whats wrong with that vid ? why it is stuttering mess ? its kind of compression thing from one format to another or something or they just captured it in 30fps ?

Dunno :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

But you are right. Didn’t notice it the other day.

In general, MSFS 20/24 is a stuttering mess. Some mods worse than others. I have the FSS B727; which has been out for a while. They just recently patched it to reduce stutters, but I enjoy flying itt so much, that I had been living with frequent stutters. I think that we get desensitized to them, like when the optometrist tells you that you have to live with floaters.

I am still shaking my head in disbelief .

few posts up I mentioned that I re-checked the performance test of laptop with 3070 . MSFS20 is suppose to run 1080p at 79fps and 1440p at 59.45fps . and I knew that I saw similar numbers already somewhere . and surly did . performance test of laptop with 5070ti can run MSFS24 in 1080p at 82.76fps and in 1440p at 59.89fps .

REALLY !!? thats diminishing returns right there !

the problem with me is that I dont think I will get desensitized to this . the pure joy of flying AeroflyFS4 in 1440p at 105fps locked, DCS ( offline ) in 1440p at 105fps locked and XP11 ( unfortunately over deserted island ONLY ) in 1440p at 105fps locked is something that I dont want to sacrifice .

is the Lossless Scaling ( on steam ) with LSFG frame generation the answer ? I am starting to believe it . its pure ’ placebo ’ ( I always preferred pure raw performance fps ) but when it can deliver the smooth sailing then maybe it is worth it .

I mean my theory is that high enough fps ( for me its 90+ ) locked to slightly lower value ( via rivatuner ) can really help with removing the stuttering . all pancake oc .

its theory for now as I never had that high fps in msfs . but works a charm for me in above mentioned sims .

I think perhaps MSFS just doesn’t handle complex aircraft models well. I say this because the sim runs smoothly on the console. But the console severely limits what mods and extras can be installed. So, in its vanilla state the sim does ok.

just a quick look and yes , the older 3party addons are really smooth , not consuming any additional fps ( eg SSW F-104 ) .

the newer addons are fps hungry ( eg FSW Lear35 is fps killer for me ) . seems that this will be the case of the new B-52 too .
