I can’t wait to give it a whirl. I still remember taking my ME in one down in Myrtle Beach. The DPE was so nervous about the engine shutdown and restart prospects that we circled the airport while I performed it… I guess in order to survive as long as he did…he was aware of the pitfalls of a single engine Seminole in the hands of a rookie multiengine pilot…
I got my ME in a Seminole too, in Bowling Green KY. It seemed like a real hotrod at the time!
Pretty airplane though…
Great. Finally an add-on aircraft to look forward to.
Ok, I took the Skypark and it works and looks pretty nice!
Not every time we are on the mood of need to fly all the time because expensive fees comes or because you need to long grinding to get the aircraft that you want in your company and fly with the addon that you have.
So, its here were Skypark enters and do it perfectly. Not every time you are on the mood of the compkexity and commitment of AH2. In Skypark you fly were you want and with what you want and when you want, but still it gives you a nice purpose on the use of msfs as a contract pilot than as a company manager. The interface its perfect and gives you much help in the flight following and preplanning.
I really like it and imho lives well side by side with AH2.
Remember the cool Mission Generator payware for XP11? its similar in the philosophy but with great interface and tools.
I want to share a tiny tip. Usually as many autoscrolling moving maps, its costy in cpu, so when you have the yoFlight (the app to follow your flight in Skypark) do a small drag of your map to stop the autoscrolling. It still do the aircraft follow in realtime and you can always drag the map to new places when required. This operation saved from 30% of cpu usage to only 3%!!! Anytime you can always return to the autoscroll clicking in the 3rd button in the top right side of yoFlight. I already requested that button be a toggled button on tech support.
Might be quite the framerate-friendly vehicle for VR sightseeing…
Nice…Milford Sound was one of the airports I covered in Challenging Airports. My Chief Pilot took a tour into there when he was visiting NZ a couple years ago. Did @PaulRix manage to get over there on a tour too last year? Definitely a bucket list destination…
The closest I have been is Queenstown and also Doubtful Sound (a bit to the South of Milford Sound). It’s a breathtakingly beautiful area. I’d move there in a heartbeat. I’m going to bet that @Bearhedge has been there though.
Another one from Sergio

My final Sergio for today! I’ve been sightseeing these, and think they are all top quality and better than much payware.
In fact, I wonder how much freeware of this caliber might be digging into pay-ware developers bottom lines…

Can you tell I’m building up a library of stuff to explore over the weekend? I’m snowed in, and have nothing better to do. Just glad I have electricity!!
now I see why they need 2 years to properly implement helicopters
@PaulRix yes, I have been there - haven’t flown in but driven there a couple of times over the years. It’s quite cool hanging out in the village with the tour planes coming in to land overhead.
The fjord is fantastic - it rains so much in the surrounding mountains that there’s a permanent 6-meter layer of fresh water on top of the salt water in the fjord.
The boundary layer and the sediment in the fresh water causes it to be super dark underwater - you can go scuba diving and see deep sea coral and fish at the shallow depths. Stuff you’d normally only see at depths you need a master diver cert for and that require decompression stops on the way back up etc.
I’ve done the boat tour a couple of times - the scuba dive and sea kayaking the length of the sound is next up on the list, at some point
A worthy addition from NZA!
Oh…and the Carenado Mooney is indeed fixed now with the latest release of MSFS…all the knobs and switches appear to be working without any CTDs…
And the GNS530 mod has been updated:
Likelyhood of gifting myself some MSFS Addons for Christmas: rising.
OrbX has some good deals on right now including some MSFS airports.
