That T-35C was looking pretty promising. That’s a fun ride and I don’t think much more complex than the A, so shouldn’t require a crazy amount of systems modeling.
I’d really love some old metal: Skyhawks, Panthers, Phantoms or a nice Electra or DC-3.
This addon currently contains around 1000 landscape fixes, 185 unique structures around Reykjavik and other areas of Iceland, and brings tree coverage to within a few percent of real life. The tree coverage fixes were based on a map that shows tree coverage of the country. The structures cover iconic and VFR landmarks such as Hallgrimskirkja, Harpa, and the DC3 crash site along with many other buildings within Reykjavik and the rest of Iceland to bring it to life. More fixes and structures will be added with every update!
Current list of structures includes the following and more: Reykjavík Cathedral, Harpa concert hall, Brautarholtskirkja, and the dc3 crash site, Hallgrímskirkja, Fríkirkjan í Reykjavík, Landakotskirkja, The National Hospital, Reykjavik junior college, The House Cabinet, Reykjavík Art Museum Hafnarhús, Radisson Blu 1919 Hotel, Radisson Blu Saga Hotel, Hljómskálinn, the theater at Vonarstræti 3, and the old school at Laekjargata 14, City Hall, harbor lighthouses, Perlan, Police HQ, pond bridge,Höfðatorg, Kjarvalsstadir Art Museum, the National Center for Cultural Heritage,Hofdi, the National Museum of Iceland, Gamla Bio, the National Library, the Volcano Museum in Stykkishólmur, and the Hellissandur longwave radio mast.
This update adds blue whales and two accompanying POIs to the north of Iceland. If you stick around the POIs long enough you may see one of them put on a show! I’m going to try and add splash animations when the SDK supports them. The update also adjusts the animations of the orcas so that they are not perfectly synchronized. Check out the second screenshot for a peek.
Also known as the “entertainment” version of VBS (Virtual Battle System), a software training suite BIS have been selling to armies and security forces all over the globe for decades.
This looks nice. I’ve always thought the Trinidad/Tobago had a really slick looking cockpit. I have been waiting to buy the X-Plane version from JustFlight/Thranda for like 5 years but even when it goes on sale it is pretty expensive.
This one is from a pretty reputable developer for FSX/P3D - Lionheart Creations:
22 (TWENTY TWO) Different Paint Schemes!
3 Different Interior Themes
Extreme Detail Virtual Cockpit with updated and modified Mesh, Mapping, and Graphics
Disappearing control yoke for visibility
Extreme high-resolution textures in PBR format complete with bump mapping.
Asobo high end Avionics including their GNS530 and GNS430 GPS systems.
Soundpack is also an Asobo creation with some incredible sound effects that only MSFS sound systems feature which include bumping sounds, performance maneuver ‘groans’ from the airframe, and other cool effects.
Looks like a good day for MSFS aircraft releases! The Trinidad looks great, and I might have to get it at some point. I’m afraid my eye has been caught by another release though…
I can’t remember if it was the Tobago or the American General (formerly Grumman) Tiger that Embry-Riddle bought some 20+ years ago to modernize their fleet. The only problem was that apparently it didn’t perform very well at the high and hot campus out there in Prescott, Arizona (5,045’ elevation). I think they ended up sending those planes down to Daytona Beach…then a fortunate hailstorm came along and wiped out the rest of them or something. My memory is pretty vague on the whole thing now…
