I know that that design is because STOL design but it not makes it more pretty. In fact exist other more famous aircraft that were also made from zero with STOL in mind and usually being top class STOL in their class and much more pretty than that small bird. examples: DHC-6, i love that aircraft, and the An-2, both very top STOL medium size aircraft and not so ugly.
Anyway its my personal tastes, i also like a lot some aircraft that are commonly known as ugly (i love the A-10), i don’t care, is personal tastes.
I’m a little biased as I attempted to buy an ICP Savannah a year or so ago. Im quite keen on them and the STOL performance is frankly incredible for an unmodified aircraft
The ICP Savannah i like it! More cool than the CH701

I’d like to share my F-22 I’ve been working on tirelessly since this game was released. There is still a lot to do, but at this point, it’s just too fun to fly to keep it to myself any longer.
Can reach mach 2.2 and can cruise at FL650
Lots of work done to the cockpit. It’s starting to resemble the actual aircraft more. I’ve made major customizations to the default Asobo gauges(You can select different pages for the SMFD’s, range maps in and out with the buttons for the screen, etc). You’ll still have to be familiar with keyboard shortcuts or have actions assigned to your controls of choice. I haven’t added a landing gear lever, control stick, flaps, spoilers, or throttle.
As I said, there is a lot to do. Autopilot is semi-functional. Just basic altitude, speed, heading.
Please be kind in the replies. I am one person working on this and wanted to share it with the community.
** Update 12/27 - Minor fixes to the flight dynamics to make the aircraft more stable. New files available at link below.
** Update 2 12/27 - Fixed the autopilot roll oscillation at cruise altitude.
** Update 12/30 - Added HUD functionality.
** Update 12/31 - Cleaned up HUD. If not displaying properly, check the README.
** Update 1/2 - Added wheel rotation animation. Made HUD Brighter. Added True Heading indicator to HUD.
** Update 1/3 - Changed broken sound files for better ones. Adjusted max KIAS for more realistic settings. Starting to add warnings and cautions. Added Warning/Caution acknowledge pushbutton.
** Update 1/16 - Revamped cockpit. Highly customized HTML Gauges, cleaner interfaces and
overall better performance.
** Update 1/17 - Bug fix. Thanks @Koseng!

That one is very far from reality, but I might still try it because I am curious how well the sim (ddnamic loading of stuff etc.) handles fast moving objects.
Never heard of this one and bumped into it totally by accident. Seems like it might be fun!
Looks like IRIS Simulations is making a comeback. Along with a fictional aircraft, they’re bringing the F/A-18C to FS2020
I hope they come back - I really liked some of their aircraft. They actually made a PC-24 that they pulled from the market that I wouldn’t mind playing around with. I’m sure it wasn’t ultra-realistic given the weird avionics in the Pilatus…but I’d still like to vroom around in it…
And their C-27 Spartan is still among my favorites even though it is a bit low def…
I expect it will be a “fun” plane, rather than a hardcore thingy…
they are already in
Sure. This is all valid and true.
But counter point, it looks like an ultra-light that’s wearing an airplane costume made by a 5 year old from cardboard boxes.
That is a very handsome color on the 152. The one I trained in for a bit was “faded 80’s orange” over white.
This makes me sad. Why do people need to trash freeware like this? Why should someone sharing their work for free have to ask that people not scorn them for it. It’s not like it’s a shameless cash grab.
Unfortunately, it’s a very valid concern though.
I see it all the time on the DCS forum in the mods section.
Free mods and people are griping how it doesnt work after a patch or they simply are too stupid to read a README. Or even worse, learn how the DCS file structure works. Its either Saved Games or Root…
The F-15 package is out.
I just checked one review from OverKill and he was not impressed.
I think it really comes down to expectations. If you buy this hoping for a DCS level module then you will be disappointed. On the other hand, if you are looking for something that goes fast and looks great with reasonably believable handling then this package isn’t bad value when you consider that you are getting several variants of an iconic airplane. Rivet counters definitely should steer clear though.
Therein lies the problem. Once that you’ve spent any appreciable time in the Hornet, it’s difficult to accept a lesser effort. Perhaps systems complexity, OK. But art, no way. Hoping that VRS and MilViz will eventually come on over.
Ooo…Yes… Got the MilViz T-38A Redux… I really miss flying that one…
