As an aside. Since so many creators are using these libraries/objects, its probably a good thing to keep them handy.

Quebec-specific freeware. May be interesting for some who like the area.
That Alpha Jet is pretty cool, bit bare bones at the moment but you can zip around and admire the scenery much faster. Also that Iceland overhaul is pretty.
Are there any other big sites that have MSFS2020 addons other than flightsim.to? Or does that site have most of the releases. I don’t want to miss anything.
Some nice glider fields in Germany (+required asset pack). I am going to try them soon.

Not released yet…but evidently we should be able to get our hands on it in a couple of weeks…
I have the XP11 version and it was really nice so I am looking forward to this one.
Am I the only one who wishes we had a few different variants of the big spit? MkV and a few griffon powered ones? We always seem to get the MkIX version. I know its a very popular model but the early and later versions were interesting in their own right as well.
Where. Is. The. Hurricane?
You have to look at Il2 ![]()
(GB as well as CloD)
I’ve hovered on the buy button more than once… just not pulled the trigger yet.
They run pretty deep sales time to time so to get the base game (Stalingrad, Moscow or Kuban) will not ruin the bank. Though the Hurri is a new plane so it will cost around 20 euro or so. Also, I am not sure how the Hurri integrates with the inbuild career mode (which is quite nice) or whether there are any scripted missions (at an extra cost).
Anyway, I am on stand by for the old good CloD to get a native VR support as they also got the Hurri and it can be flown in the BoB theatre!
I haven’t tried it yet (I’ll try today) but I think you can fly the Hurri in Kuban and likely the upcoming Normandy module as a campaign.
I love IL-2. The career mode has improved over the older versions and PCWG is available which really brings the sim alive.
The sim is beautiful in VR, even in my old rig. The only thing I lament is the lack of Pacific content.
EDIT: I miss A2A’s MKIA Spit and continually spraying radiator fluid on my windscreen if I left it at takeoff boost for longer than three seconds.
OK, I just checked and it’s a little different than I thought.
Battle of Moscow - Hurricane Mk.II
Battle of Stalingrad - Hurricane Mk.II
Battle of Kuban - Spitfire Mk.VB
Battle of Bodenplatte - Spitfire Mk.IX
Battle of Normandy - Spitfire Mk.XIV
Since BON is before BOB chronologically I’m not sure if you will be able to fly the Hurricane in BON as well. Same same the V or IX in BON since they predate the XIV
The planes are not era dependant. If you own it, and the mission builder uses it, you can fly it.

Yes, that’s true. I was under the impression though that we were speaking of the stock career mode. I have all the modules so far released and some aircraft aren’t available in certain campaign careers. In a few cases the planes were grayed out for the first phases, but then enabled for the later ones. Sometimes the opposite.
I just didn’t want anyone to buy the Hurri say and a module in which they wouldn’t be allowed to fly all the modes.
I’ve never played the available single missions or the “campaign”.
So I don’t know what the deal is there. Just the careers.
Of course, in quick missions you can fly anything you own. ![]()
This is just a guess on my part, but seeing as Aeroplane Heaven are actively developing for MSFS, and it looks like the DC3 and Spitfire Mk1a are not too far out…they also have in their FSX/P3D lineup…drumroll…

It would not surprise me at all if their Hurricane makes it’s way over to MSFS sooner rather than later. Of course, it will be a day 1 purchase for me if it happens.
