For those not quite ready for promotion yet

I was actually in there looking for some nicer mods for the flaps bug that came in World Update 3. There seems to be a bunch, and it might be easier just to drag/drop one of these in the Community folder to fix it up:

Can’t have a flaps bug if you don’t have flaps!

…which is just my fancy way of saying that a new version of the Falke is available. I’ll try it today:

Welcome to Project Coastline Tuscany.

Explore over 320km/200mi of enhanced coastline of the beautiful Tuscany region in Italy, for hours of VFR fun.

Rocks, cliffs, boats, yachts, docks, harbors, marinas, palms, working lighthouses, moving harbor crane lifts, parasols, night lights, animals and more, have been added to improve the overall quality of the coast, which by default is flat and dull.

Landmarks have been added to the world map so you can easily plan your trip.

V.1.3

  1. An optional “What if?” version is now available. “What if?” in comics and videogames, it’s an alternate version of something, in this case, all major world landmarks have been scattered along the coastline and islands.

This mod is fully compatible with the freeware Livorno add-on.

A few Easter-eggs are present as well, can you find them?

FPS friendly and VR ready.

Suggestion: For a better experience, fly whatever amphibious plane you have.

It is great to see some of my favorite aircraft making their way to MSFS… Just Flight’s Hawk is great for X-Plane, so I know I’ll be getting this one as soon as it becomes available.

looks that msfs will be 49% of GA tiny birds, 49% of military trainers and 2% of the rest….

I’m sure that as time goes by we will see a wider range of aircraft. Right now we are seeing aircraft with simpler systems that operate well within the limitations of the current state of the sim. By the end of this year I think the selection of available 3rd party aircraft will look very different.

Agree.
Pretty much everyone’s first project in a new sim is something small with simple systems, just to get to know the sim engine and learn how to establish a workflow.

Another one incoming later this year…

Oh that’s just utterly beautiful in that paint job. Gorgeously proportioned

That would make for some fun, and quick, sightseeing!

Just saw that the Spit will be sent off to Adobo when Beta testing is done. Sounds like it will be several more weeks until it is released. :pensive:

I’m going to make a wild guess and say that the Spit is probably being held back until Asobo fixes the flap problem introduced at the last update. Actually, that probably goes for any other new aircraft on the verge of being released.

They plan to do a hotfix for the flaps next week. Which is good!

Unfortunately they say this now shifts out Sim Update 3 and World Update 4 (France etc) out by a week, which is bad. :expressionless:

My bet is they were late on Sim Update 3 anyway (and I’d only put 50% on March 11th not to slip again), so this is just handy to say why. No worries.

Great news on the flaps issue. I guess they changed their minds regarding the hot fix then. If they get it out next week I suspect the Flying Iron Spitfire will release just as I am about to head out on a two week trip. Thats how these things work!

Not sure if anyone has seen this but there’s a free mod to make some nice improvements to the TBM.

It’s meant to work hand in hand with the Working Title G3000 mod (though I did have to rollback the G3000 to 3.3 to troubleshoot a crash when you turn the battery on).

XCUB AMPHIB (AKA FLOAT VARIANT)

Today I would like to present to you the XCub on floats. These amphibious floats are a hybrid design between Aerocet and Wipline. Comes with custom sounds, retractable landing gear, cargo pods in the floats (up to 50 lbs each) and retractable water rudders. I want to thank our discord community for testing this machine and giving me such great feedback during testing. You’ve pushed me to make something far beyond what I expected I could do. Now get downloading and go have some fun! Modelling and animation by CarbonProp

EDIT: Works great, now off to find some tiny local lakes/puddles!
