MSFS Add-Ons & Releases

It appears that the new patch has broken the DC Designs Concorde, the autopilot appears to be nonfunctional now.

I feel bad for those guys. Every time they fix the thing, another patch comes out and breaks it! :joy:

On a brighter note, either Asobo had been improving the taildragger physics…

…or I’m suddenly a much better taildragger pilot!

I really like the constant stream of improvements and the relatively high transparency of that team.

I was so looking forward to this update that I still didnt manage to download it ant try

did anyone try any pre-update helicopter? like EC135 or EC145 or Bell47? just wondering if they need tweaking from their devs or they work just fine with the new fligh modeling.

I have the H145 and Bell 47…but unfortunately I have been on the road these past few days. I’ll have a chance to test the update tonight or, more realistically, tomorrow.

Haven’t tried them yet. I assume that the teams are at work already, as those mods will need some work. Same probably for the gliders.

For me after trying the new aircraft/helis, where a mix of happy and saddiness.
The DC3 where a great addition, the helis where ok (with assistances off) but i prefer helis on XP12 and AFS4), gliders i not even tried (having the condor soaring 2 i doubt msfs will beat it), Beaver is very cool, Goose a sad moment to not be a study level aircraft. Finally the A310, Thanks God, that i also have it on XP, idk the reason that everytime i open it it ctd on load. Its the only aircraft i have ctd on load. Thech support discarded the responsability and told, if its on load the guilt is msfs, idk idk, as mentioned i can load all other aircraft, including complex ones like leonardo md80, pmdg 737, fenix a320, etc…

So, after a rollercoaster feelings and mood, I return to another flight on XP12

I took the B407 on a flight through the canyons, East of SLC. Thankfully my Virpil Alpha grip has extra hat switches.
Figuring out what the rotor trim increase/decrease did, as well as the roll trim took a few. But I got it flying decently. I don’t believe I had assists in, but will go back and now check.
It felt smooth and but had inertia where I thought it should. Sounds were spot on, but found an odd clunk when putting in left pedal.
I’ll spend some more time in it and hope to see repaints.

Using my old XBOX controller I kept running out of left pedal (left trigger). There’s an option to use incremental anti-torque. I may give that I try the next time I’m home.

For those of us with poor impulse control -*cough cough @PaulRix *- ORBX is running a pretty good sale for the MSFS anniversary weekend, including several planes.

I really really wish they’d give an option of update/download or fly. I had a couple of hours today to get my Xmas flight moving and unable because of the mandatory update.

First world problems…… :exploding_head::exploding_head::exploding_head:

You know me too well Ted. I picked up an airport or two from OrbX today … plus the Panama Canal scenery. The MSFS Marketplace sale is pretty decent too. I couldn’t walk away from the MiG 21 at 50% off.

Question about Kai Tak and Meigs Fiels:

Did they only change the scenery for some missions, or did they do that permanently?

Permanently, like all bespoke areas/airports.

Those who don’t like them can always just delete them in content manager.

Ah, cool. Thx.

I was wondering in case that I could do sightseeing over present day HK (unlikely, just theoretically).

Yeah, I picked up the South America Mesh, RDU, and a couple of planes. Couldn’t resist that F-104 after seeing @Deacon211 's misadventures.
