Wow I thought there was a technical problem in rendering the price in the preview but it really is only €2.49 now!
Is it good? I don’t fly MSFS a lot but I’d love to have something more STOL than the default Carbon Cub for 2.50

I just bought both of those aircraft I mentioned at Just Flight. I’d always thought the BAe146 was a bit expensive (for me at least) and had been waiting for a sale. As for the Hawk, I don’t normally buy military combat planes for FS, though I find I now have 4 of them (with mixed feeling of how good they are) - 6 including freeware ones, but I know one of the lead developers for this and he’s a great bloke and has had a lot to contend with in recent years and he actually gave me early access to the Hawk model (it didn’t work at all for me, though) so this is my way of saying thanks and hopefully giving some support.
The Big Radials Norseman is out.
I like their Goose so I will most likely pick it up once back home.
OMG!
I didn’t know that they were working on one!
This is an absolute must have for me.
A good friend of mine is checked out on one and does roundtrips at airshows in it.
I just went to buy it, but yet another one where I have to create an account, so I’ll wait and see if it appears in the marketplace or somewhere were I already have an account and doesn’t require an installer app (like Just Flight)
How about ORBX?
I just picked up the Norseman through OrbX. Very nice considering the price. I’ll post some pics later.
Also, this dropped at Sim Market today. simMarket: A 400M MSFS
A few shots of the Norseman. There is a lot to like here. The sounds are great, she handles nicely (maybe a little too benign on takeoff?). The CRT ‘tablet’ looks great too Nice job Big Radials!
I have OrbX and their installer - not used it for this sim but for P3D and FSX. I’d have to consider it as I’ve only ever used it for terrain and not aircraft. I normally install the terrain then close Central and never open it again, whereas with aircraft I’d have to check for updates.
I used to prefer installing with the original FSS installers because I think OrbX only use Central to shove adverts in front of us and in the hope we will buy other stuff. I don’t like companies doing that on my desktop.
Like I said, I would think about it as I already have Central. Call me grumpy but I like installers with products, I just don’t like publishers having their apps on my PC and especially when I’ve spent a small fortune on their products and am then told it’s use their new installer or don’t get to use the products I bought.
That’s why I’m still using the old version of the C-22 as well - really like the model, but after a few updates SimMarket suddenly say “hey we switched this onto our desktop installer - so download our app or don’t get any more updates”. Well I chose the latter, and all they’ve done is make me never buy from them again. Ditto with Aerosoft.
Partly cos as i said, I don’t like them shoving ads on my desktop (when I open their app to install my add-ons) and partly a matter of trust. Cos I don’t. If all publishers switched to installer apps then I’d not buy any more at all - I don’t care, I have enough planes to fly - their loss.
Don’t know how aware you guys are of it, but I like Burning Blue Designs UK airfield scenery. They did the best scenery for my local airfield (Fenland EGCL) that I could find and the price was very reasonable.
I love the look of the plane, and thanks for confirming the quality. How different does it feel from a Beaver? The included Beaver I mean
I don’t suppose anybody has tried the Zebith CH701 ultra-STOL that @NEVO linked here?
It’s pretty good, and a steal at the current sale price.
Hey @PaulRix, since we’re asking for expert opinions, which of the latest Helo releases would you say is the most worth buying?
A couple are on sale, so I may pick up one of them. I already have the HPG, but wouldn’t mind something a little more…OG.
And the sound? its poweful and looks like a big radial aircraft?
So, feel wise, it ‘seems’ a little heavier but that could be my imagination. The included Beaver is pretty good IMHO and so I wouldn’t buy it if you just want one radial engined bush plane in your hangar. I never look at it that way…it’s a Norseman and that makes it different enough from the Beaver to make it worthwhile (to me)… Everyone here knows that I like anything new and shiny .
@Deacon211 Which helicopters are you interested in? I don’t have the CowanSim Bell 206 but I like the MD500E and the new H125. For the simple pleasure of flying a helicopter though, the Mini 500 is hard to beat.
I’m not sure how well the sound was recorded but crank up the volume. Engine start is about 60 seconds into the video.
I will buy it NOW!!!
I was leaning towards one of the classics, Jet Ranger, Loach family.
The MD500 looks to have the most liveries, which is always appreciated.
Thanks for reminding me - I forgot about the MD500 and I’ll just go off and buy that now. I decided to buy what I want this Easter - transferred a few hundred from my savings just for splashing out over the holiday in sales!
Then I’ll go and buy that Norseman. I suppose one more account isn’t going to make much difference and the email server I use for online purchases is closing down at the end of June - so no worries, I s’pose.
OrbX really doesn’t bombard you with marketing email, although you do get the odd one now and again. My experience with them has been really good. Also, their app makes it a breeze to keep your purchases up to date.
The CowanSim MD500E is a nice product. I should have purchased their Bell 206 but I went with the FlyInside 206 instead (which is also pretty good).
