Unfortunately while the An-2 is essentially finished, due to licensing reasons with Antonov its release is pushed further down the line.

Just call it the Chinese licensebuilt Shijiazhuang Y-5 and ignore any copyrights, as is customary in that country.

Man that is an impressive list. An encouraging. I love that this isn’t a release, one patch, two patch…done product. This is fantastic. I hope it continues to evolve and that they can continue to grow the user base that wants to buy things. I will never complain about spending more money on sims when the end result is that the product keeps expanding. It is what we always hoped for.

Harsh. But OK.

Anything about DLSS in there…? I hear rumors.

The 01:02:44 Dx12 Improvements section.

Anyone willing to dumb-down what DLSS will bring to VR users?

Edit - I did watch that clip, I’m just unfamiliar with the ‘how’. I’ve not used it before.

It’s a performance technique called ‘up scaling’. I wrote a summary of the alphabet soup here

We don’t know yet if MSFS will use just the plain 2D DLSS or the VR variation that Nvidia has.

@fearlessfrog thanks so much. I had actually just stumbled across that very thread.

I’m not a…gamer? I suppose? Regardless, I’m not up on most game tech.

Nice.

The long awaited An-2 should follow together with SU12.

Great aircraft to be included, sad that it will (almost for sure) not be a study level aircraft.
Also sad that this and others aircraft where being avoid to be developed with the always excuses of “its not an airbus neither a boeing” and other excuses that cyrilic cockpit, too hard to learn, etc etc etc. Now because “political” reasons we will have it… (the aircraft is the same!!! … it not becames in english neither the cockpit becames equal to a a320 or b737)

Anything pro Ukraine is to be welcomed.

“Anything pro Ukraine is to be welcomed.”
Depending of what…

Anyway this aircraft is very welcome ofc.

This is a brilliant marketing opportunity for all involved parties. I can envision it being in the news already. The dream.

Sorry for the (probably misplaced) question…
Is MSFS ever discounted? Now that I have a more modern GPU it feels like an impressive experience.
I mean the screenshots thread alone is literally mind blowing… But the entry fee is steep. Plus I know I will only use it a dozen of hours…

Well, I went all in knowing I would sink a ridiculous amount of time in it, though I recall the standard edition was available also in Xbox pass for some reasonable monthly fee?

Perhaps worth checking.
