Agree, that Starfighter rules!

The Toag’s Hangar OH6/ Hughes 500C released today…

Oh! Minireview, please!

looks great ! imo even better than the other 2 offerings

I have only flown a couple of quick hops in it, but my initial impression is that it is of the same high quality as the other three helicopters in the Toag’s Hangar lineup. It feels like a sports car with spirited handling. I will hopefully get the chance to fly it some more later today, but I don’t think you will be disappointed if you decide to pick it up.

That helicopter was sold once I saw that Magnum P.I. livery…

Great! Because Cowan’s from 2020 just doesn’t hold up, even when using the legacy FM. I remember it as being fine in X-Plane and FS2020.

Got to the point in my Caribbean island hopping where I flew the LearJet to MKBS.

Short final for rwy 09 placed me uncomfortably low over the terrain even though the vertical guidance wanted me to be even lower.

Dunno whether this is down to MSFS (incorrect descent profile, trees too high…) or the real-life approach looks the same?

Nice job! After TALUV, you are pretty much on your own as the vertical guidance is all but useless. I figured that the trees in the sim wouldn’t be realistic because there was no way they would have not cleared them on short final… but after flying it for real I can tell you that the sim does a pretty nice job of representing the terrain and trees.

Microsoft sticking Navigraph Charts and SimBrief (and other vendors) modules into the default EFB is a great thing.

What Lear is that? Looks good. Flysimware?

The Learjet 35A by FSW is well worth a look Dan. Far more hands on than a modern business jet.

The charts in the native MSFS 2024 tablet are provided either by FAA or LIDO. And they are georeferenced. Great thing indeed :+1:

The LearJet is from FlySimWare and as @PaulRix says - well worth the money.

While the default CJ4 (which is also great, btw) is perhaps too modern and automated for my taste, the LearJet hits the sweetspot for me when it comes to flying a jet and looking at round gauges at the same time.

Troll approves of this!

@PaulRix’s influence has again separated me from my money. The OH-6 is an underpowered delight. Just like it was reputed to be. However I am having trouble with the screenshot. Anyway I was only including one to be germane to the thread. I just wanted to say that I really like the helicopter.

Glad to hear that I’m not losing my touch Eric  . I have to say that Toag’s Hangar is my favorite Helicopter developer for the sim right now. I like the HPG offerings, and really enjoy the MilTechSims Osprey and CH47…but there is something about Toag’s that makes them stand out. It might be their choice of helicopters. I think my favorite is still the Alouette III because, nobody else to my knowledge ever made one.

Slowly nearing the end of my Caribbean adventure.

A practical demonstration of advantage of having a small aircraft.

Crossing to Haiti.

On my way to Cuba.

I even managed to hit one of the hand-made airports.

And on a different note - delivering some cargo to Berlin. This time in weather.

For some reason, the sim is crashing on me in VR more often than not. I have just updated all that I could find so wish me luck!

Arrived to the destination of my Caribbean Island Hopping: Miami Executive

Leaving Key West International early evening.

Overflying Florida - here already descending.

Arrival to Miami Executive.

I am glad I finally did this tour. MSFS 2024 makes it justice.

I like recreating some historical routes - like this one here from Chicago Rockford to Detroit. This route comes from the book “I’ll take the 18” which I referred to here on the forum some time ago. It is about a cargo pilot flying - you guessed it - a Twin Beech. He was based in Rockford and in one chapter was describing a flight to Detroit for a box of nails or bolts… or whatever as the car production line was running out of them.

I think his flight involved some icing. Mine involved clouds and great vistas. The screen below is when descending towards Detroit. At times, the atmospheric effects are pretty true to life in appearance.
